Well done to the lad One for the future - is he another Stones or even a Butterfield or will he turn out to be destined for the conference - hopefully its the former

Great to see the academy, bringing through promising talent.
This is the future for clubs like us.

Keep up the good work Ronnie and your team. I often think they don't get enough praise from supporters.

    Well done Lewis Wardle.

If you ever get the chance to move to one of the clubs jump at it.
Shockily bad managers like Danny Wilson will never give you a chance in the first team at Oakwell and will only slow down your development.

That's the best one yet. Just ban this bell end. I came in here to read an article on one of our young players and find another thread polluted by this ******.

Why do you do this, mate?

I really don't want to see you banned again, I really don't. But you're giving those who do, plenty of reasons. You've made your point on the manager, you don't like him. So move on and get back to discussing something else. I'm off work today so if you fancy a chat/debate, I'm all ears.

Just giving on what he should do.

Am I wrong though, as the academy graduates been given a chance this season?
He's brought a player back to the club from Bury without giving reassurances of playing him

I think he wanted to play the likes of Reuben and Digby, but their injuries have hindered that. As for what he said yesterday regards Danny Rose, I'd take that with a pinch of salt, Phil. He's just given him a long term new contract. He rates him. But he's not going to tell the press/media "oh yes, I'm starting Danny Rose on Saturday". He's not daft.

Danny'll be on the bench at Boro. Where he belongs. Hopefully next season in the third tier he'll get a run of starts.

This manager got us to the Premier League whilst blooding a whole host of youth/academy lads.

You don't like him, fine, but there are ways of putting that point across. I don't want you banned. Unlike some, I appreciate you on here. You can disagree with me all day, and it doesn't bother me or affect how I judge you. But I'd rather you put your points over in a less aggravating manner. But, it's your life, your choices.

He droped RNL from the squad after the Yeovil match. Asked him after the game if he was fit he said yes. Digby was fit most of the time but never got a chance. How do I know this, I saw him play for the u21's.

Yeah, because he never played any youth/acadamy players last time he was here.

Please, Phil, don't try and pillock me.

I know for a big fat fact that Reuben wasn't fit after the Yeovil game. The knee he had surgery on flared up and he only had a scan on it last week. It was all clear, and he was back on the bench at Derby despite not training. I know all this because I speak with his family.

Danny rates him. He rates Digby (who is out injured, has been most of the season, again). He rates Rose.

He must rate Nana and Maris too, seeing as he's given them pro deals. Not to mention Bree.

If you don't like Danny, fine. Not a problem. But don't try pillocking folk, or making stuff up. You're not the only one who attends u21 games. I know a lot who do. So you can't pull the wool over my eyes.

You're not just giving advice though. You've been out for Wilson from day 1, presumably because he guided the club to its best times but you didn't see it. There's a strange thing where everything happening here and now has to be the best (e.g. Rooney, Wilshere, the young players) and you'll either argue the toss that things before it were crap (e.g. Gazza) or if you can't argue (Wilson) then you'll just get mardy.

Mr Tyke is correct though, some managers give young players a chance and some don't and both methods can be successful.

For example, Mark Robins at Rotherham gave young players a chance and was successful, Steve Evans doesn't but he's also successful.

Rotherham were in admin under Robins. They're rich under Evans.

To be fair, I quite like the word 'shockily'. I'm having that.

    I'll bite.

He's played Digby & Noble-Lazarus but both are made of glass & for fitness reasons haven't been involved much.

He felt Rose needed a loan spell, he's sent him away he's scored 3 goals so we've recalled him & he'll probably be involved in the last 2 games.

Name me the other youngsters he's refusing to give a chance to?

    He can't, because he isn't.

The issue is that someone still thinks that every player to turn out at youth level will make it. They won't.

If he is good enough Danny will give him a chance Phil. He has a good record of bringing youth through the ranks.

Managers facing relegation mainly go with experience over youth.
