    I'd much rather be a Dundee United fan than one of ours at the minute. If there is any puss to be taken it should be Ian doing the taking.

    Can't see Mackay-Smith coming in a million years though.

    OK Scott I'll bite. Why would I belittle your bid. I don't even know what it was. Can you tell me.
    I'm sure if Barnsley were to put in a realistic bid acceptable to DUFC who are now debt free and don't really need the cash, then the club would maybe talk as GMS is entering the last year of his contract.

    Anyway Scott please tell me why you think I would belittle a bid by Barnsley.

    I see Dundee very much like Plymouth.
    I'd guess they pay similar, so we'll beable to offer better.

    But that is no reason to be like that to me. Sorry to disappoint but Barnsley are a small club just like my own. I accept that but you don't seem able to.
    I'd say we are a bigger club and more financially secure than Barnsley but GMS does not want to stay and would like to move on.
    He is under contract for another year and will move for nothing under a Bosman. But we've got the 3 million + from Sporting so under no pressure to sell. We could keep GMS for another year if we wished. Only a real good offer would prize him away from Tannadice. Maybe 900,000 maybe a bit less who knows but would GMS want to play in Div 1. He was on record last year of hoping to play in the Premiership. I'd wishful thinking on that one as at times he hasn't the heart and loses interest. Championship level i'd say. He definitely is a talented player with tricks but at times tricks don't win games.

    Dinna get me wrong I'll be sorry to see him go but he is going and Barnsley have just set the bar. There have been plenty clubs looking at him. Nottingham Forest were mentioned today.
    Of course if Barnsley come in with an acceptable offer it would be down to Gary and he has stated where he'd like to play his football.

    You'll no see any off that. Plays when in the mood. Has a lot of tricks about him but doesna like it when defenders kick the legs fae him for taking the ****.
