What's it like where you are mate?

An inch or two already fallen, with more to come over the next few days. Check the weather forecasts out, mate. Although, it looks worse this neck of the woods than yours, so maybe it'll be fine..?

Sunday is the 1st Feb but I'd recommend The Tapped in Leeds got some good beers on at the moment Ilkley Brewery The Mayan 6.5% Chocolate Chipotle Stout and Triple Karmeleit 8.4% on tap , should get your liver back in shape !!

Someone I know did it last year, and set up one of these Web pages for you to donate money. If you donated £20 or more then she got a "day off" and could have a drink, which I thought was completely missing the point of doing it. As it was she had a lot of family so spent most of the month hammered and managed to raise a wad for charity in the process.

It was alright I suppose... Dan's other half's Dad was down from Newcastle so I went with him. I'll tell you what they really know how to defend but they are crap going forward. Oh for everyone else I went to the dark side (Hillsborough) on Tuesday... oh and I didn't pay and I burned my shoes when I got home ;)

Yeah I read about that £20 for a day off ? It does miss the point somewhat.

This is third year I've done it

    First year fairly easy

Last year very very hard but did it. 1st Feb was Wednesday away in an all you can drink hospitality box... so I did hic

This year has seemed very easy I don't know why. Maybe being ill over Christmas period and into early January.

I am aiming to restrict my intake going forward as there's not much point having a month of sobriety if you spend eleven sozzled !

Yes, I've not had a drink in January. Found it quite easy, really.

Like BFC Dave, I'll also take it easy on the beer after this weekend. Will have my first drink this year on Sunday 1st Feb.

First time I've done it. Been ok apart from going to the football. Feel absolutely no benefits whatsoever.

Not really gone 'dry' but have seriously cut darn on the wine of an evening. Before xmas me and the current mrs wilkojohnson could easily do a few stellas and then 3-4 botlles of shiraz between us. We've just had one bottle of shiraz on Fri and Sat - never drunk so much coffee. I do feel better tho.... having a day off tomorrow - going out lunchtime & having a couple of Old Peculiers No doubt me & the good lady will then proceed to have some wine - it is payday tomorrow after all

I've done it a few times but in general I never drink Monday - Friday anyhow, Saturday's I love a swill and the occasional Sunday sesh too!!

I'd hate not being able to drink, although you don't feel that special day after its a good laugh at time.
