As I said in another post last night as welcome as the recent upturn in results and performances have been we've been here before 6 wins on the trot this time last season wasn't it, then probably one of the worst if not the worst run of results and performances I've seen in 45 years of following the reds with a few false dawns like Rochdale last season and Everton this. So Mr Jay may I humbly suggest you may well be right and thing may indeed be coming good but those of us who share the opposite view may also be right and it is indeed another false dawn. But just to be clear I personally hope your right and I'm wrong because I want to see a successful Barnsley FC. I just don't think in the long run the present set up will achieve that success you and others do and I accept your right to constantly tell me your right and I'm wrong but please accept my right to post my point of view on the situation even if you don't agree with it that's what I thought the forums was for and if Gally wants it to be a
Everyone has an opinion. Just keep in your mind that a chap from Hemsworth got a ban for repeating the same thing in every post. Not a dig. Just an observation.
It's almost impossible to ignore it, though, when it infests every single thread. Even having you and that other plantpot on 'ignore' doesn't work because someone will quote your nonsense in a reply. The only thing I'm upset about is this board getting hijacked and ruined by a couple of attention-seekers who seem incapable of seeing what it is that's pissing people off. So Mr Jay may I humbly suggest you may well be right and thing may indeed be coming good but those of us who share the opposite view may also be right and it is indeed another false dawn. That's what I thought the forums was for but if Gally wants it to be a shrine to Mr Cryne and Co with no criticism allowed it's his site and he should say so then we who feel differently will stay away.
But some people still seem to be seeing some thing that isn't there. The two people you are talking of got a bit out of control and were dealt with. I dont currently see every thread getting hijacked by them anymore.
Well Said that man! Some folk on here hate any negativity being said but when the products crap it happens as will positive ones if things continue on the up. It's called reality my friends!
Re: I think the point you're missing No problem with you expressing an opinion Mr Zazlos. Just the frequency of the same one and the hijacking of every thread. Think this song is more apt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOSseI1hao8
I agree to a large extent and we all know that Dr Z and thereev post the same thing over and over again, but I tend to gloss over it mostly and don't let it affect me greatly. For balance I must also point out that there are other posters, largely more positive or erudite in their posts, who I also find intensely irritating at times. It's all about opinions I guess...
I can only speak from my own experience and I used to post on here loads but don't really bother anymore. It used to be fantastic but now seems to be weighed down by crap and negativity.
Re: I think the point you're missing I haven't hijacked any to my knowledge recently mi lady. And I don't do Carp songs either. That is a Carp song mi dear
Re: I think the point you're missing I know a thread that`ll get on yer nerves, get on yer nerves, get on yer nerves.
Talk about throwing a grenade in to the mixing pot and backing off and watching the explosion! The biggest frustration on the negativity is the repetition. Followed by the claims to 'just click ignore', which then makes the BBS unreadable. Needs to be give and take form both 'sides' on that one. As for yesterday. Thought we were much more clinical against Rochdale last season. Shrewsbury are a shocking team, forced in to making three substitutions at half time, but yet could of easily gone in to the dressing room at 2-2. Thought the second half was class, Hammill rampant, Watkins and Winnall running a mock. But it wasn't hard to see why Chesterfield managed to score seven. Should have scored more but poor decision making let us down, and I'm really worried that a midfield two of Brownhill and Hourihane will get torn apart by a better side. Brave more playing the two of them yesterday, but considering recent events at Shrewsbury he probably knew he could get away it.
