Good job I'll get to use that great flexi-ticket that the club offered, eh readers?? At those prices, I'm out.
I got a season ticket glad I did now but that is far too high to watch a game of football. Shame all last season in the jpt and play offs the club did some great pricing and got fans back but you must have rocks in yer head to pay 38 quid to watch 90mins of championship football.
Time for people to really think about getting a season ticket, share one with a mate etc Far far to much for most Barnsley fans, the club have got to at least offer some type of discounts to trust members, and offer a membership card where people can get £5 off a ticket for a £10 season fee!! The big crowds are now at risk, Villa, Leeds, Newcastle, Wednesday, these could have been sell outs with the feel good factor we have, now we will be lucky to get 18,000!!! The lower bands are decent value, it's good that you can get £2 off in advance, seems strange that the QPR game on a night is higher than Reading on a Saturday though!! Glad I have a season ticket.....because football is fu**ed!!!!!
remember the prices have nothing to do with what we are charging our own fans ( even though thats exactly the outcome) it seems its a tit for tat situation where qpr charge us more so we are charging them the same.
So I can watch FOUR German first division games for the price of ONE Category A* Barnsley match? On which planet is this acceptable?
Can't wait for the first Category A* game, will be awesome getting a blowjob while watching the match.
That's disgraceful and the club are a bunch of tossmungers. And I say that as a season ticket holder. 36 quid for villa at home ffs. Feckless, greedy, inconsiderate arse holes.
Exactly. Wednesday's category b match price last season was £42. They only charged it once against Bristol but it became the perceived norm. They had Cat A and A* but never charged them. Also why cannot the club differentiate between classes of seating ? Most other events do.
For people who attend away games get ready Ipswich is already £38 Newcastle leeds Wednesday won't be cheap. Leeds was £38 a pop last time in Wilsons 1st game back and we still took just under 2k. The club are trying to fleece away fans I reakon like every other club in this league does. Like an other poster says share a season ticket with your mate. I miss league one.
We've scored an own goal before we've even kicked off. The club have tried to explain the reasoning, but it has landed on deaf ears with me. I'm not interested in what other clubs charge, league rules etc etc etc. I'm only interested in what I have to pay to go and see a game, on the spur of the moment, when I'm around. And it seems it will be between £25 and £38. I don't believe these prices will stick - I think the club will reduce them substantially before the season starts. If they don't, I won't be going next season. It's too much.
Wow! Just Wow! I've got train tickets bought for the villa game on a Tuesday night. Decent price. I'm getting home to Dundee for £21. Thought I might once again have a good time coming down to see the reds. Then hit with perhaps £36 a ticket. Kinda restricts how many times I can afford to attend. Appears some folk in high places at Oakwell are just not living in the real world. Has austerity not arrived in Barnsley yet?
When put in context with other clubs, it's 'relatively cheap' Villa fans can pay £30 for the game against us. Against Wednedsay it's £42 For a League One match, Sheff Utd fans have to pay £30 against Bolton Rotherham fans can pay £25 for their game against us, which is probably average price I would doubt more than one or two games are A* The majority will be B-D. For the first part of the 2012-13 season, tickets cost £28. It will be the same as that or cheaper for most of this season When there is demand, any company is within its rights to charge more. Take iPhones. Apple know people will buy them whatever the price, so why should they charge less? Newcastle and Wednedsay will bring thousands, so why shouldn't we try and make a bit more profit? It's not 'morally' right, but when has morals come into football?
