Since when do we get a choice where we park? Plenty of stewards directing us to where THEY want us to park, but not a steward to be seen after the game. Just a free for all.

Do you remember when there used to be a police officer at the Pontefract Road/Grove Street intersection controlling traffic. It seemed to work a lot better.

Remember it well, especially through the eighties, and you're right, it did work well. That was an era when close season improvements to the car park meant it was reseeded.

More to the point, how many people will take any notice of it ?

So if bottom gates are locked do all pedestrians have to walk darn Grove Street from top exit? Theyve only told half the story.

That little gate near the burger van will be open I presume.

Yeah but with everybody leaving at same time its gonna be a squeeze. And you can bet your boots that the cars, which are supposed to be stationary, will be rammed up by the exit gates, revving and hooting for dear life.

Having said that fair play to the club for having a go.

How do people exiting through Gate C get out? Do they all have to reverse to exit as they will be facing the other way in lines.

To be fair, the club did write to all ST holders this week, advising of the changes

To be fair, they did. However the diagram with my letter was different to this one today from Newsbot.

    I'm getting the train!

Well done to the club for actioning a plan! Good luck with it however

It is going to cause carnage however, no one will park in the right spot, no one will stay stationary for 10 minutes and everyone is going to get angry!!

Needed to be done, but 'the likes of Barnsley' folk will not listen. As said nobody in the correct spot, everybody queing at gates rather than waiting in car. And Gate C will go through Gate B cos it opens 5 minutes earlier. Give it a few weeks of persistence and look back to see if it's worth continuing.

With the exception of people with mobility difficulties, I cannot for the life of me see why anybody would want to drive to a football stadium, especially one as well-served by public transport as ours.

It just always looks so stressful - surely a stroll to the railway station (even if you just go a couple of stops to where you've left a car) would be a more relaxing start to Saturday evening?

Having just parked up I can safely predict this is going to be an utter shambles today. The lower left turning section is full so they're now parking left and right turners in the same rows and the car park steward literally said "might as well park anywhere".

Add into that the gates being left shut for 10 minutes and it's going to be carnage.

Hope I'm wrong, but suspect otherwise.

If the plan was for no-one in the bottom half of the car park to be moving then this has been a roaring success.

About time something was done so well done to the club. Cars can wait ten minutes for the safety of pedestrians. I'm sure we will hear of teething problems later but it's a new concept so to be expected. Hopefully over the next few games tweeks will be made if necessary.
