Sorry if already posted. Right after Tom Flanagan missed the open goal for Burton. Our fans start singing the 'your f*cking ****' song. Burton keeper turns round and says 'you're not wrong'. On the way home I had radio Derby on. The presenters on there were saying how the fans seem to groan or give off a negative vibe hes coming on or on the ball. Poor lad it must be hard when you're own teammates think you're *****! On todays game. We deserved to lose. Missed the target with great chances early doors but when the chances dried up it was all Burton. Davies was unbelievable today his best performance this season. Burton battered us today in our 4-4-2. Hecky turned an almost nailed on defeat into a point by switching to 4-5-1. They still created chances but definitely not at the same rate before this switch. Adam Hammill came on and went down the outside which was something Kent failed to try all game. As a result we gained 3 corners on the bounce which relieved the pressure massively. Sometimes that experience really does make the difference. All in all a point gained. Well done BFC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The thing is.........as you move up leagues - it becomes increasingly important to score from chances created. Generally......if you miss your chances in the Championship then you..........lose !!! We seem to be creating loads of chances.......but none of the forwards, even Armstrong, are scoring or in many cases are not even hitting the target
I thought it was a 50:50 game, nailed on draw until Hecky went one up front. From then on was only time we looked capable of losing.
The consensus round me was it was a negative substitution, but I think we began to see more of the ball as a result, thus it was positive.
For most of my time watching tarn, when we are tight defensively we create and score few goals and when we score a lot we suffer defensively. When we get both ends right we are a dream to watch, very rare mindst. We are doing alreight at the mo and as you say the young are gaining in experience game by game, good to watch most weeks from what I see at well.
Interesting that those at the game saw us as having more of the ball after the switch but those watching the stream saw the opposite.
Nudge, we've almost the top scorers in the league. We're half way up, having played and lost to most of the top few sides. Whenever we are level on points with other teams, we're invariably at or near the top of the group. If we scored all the chances we are creating we'd be miles clear at the top by now - no team scores from every chance they get. I see it as a positive, even though it's frustrating at times. We've playing well (for the most part), creating chances, and scoring lots of them. Well done lads.
Part and parcel of game tbf. Opposition miss loads of chances against us .if every team took every chance scored would be cricket proportions. Seems fans only see their teams missing chances and not the oppos . And it would be boring any other way imo.
Disagree we were getting overrun in midfield Kent went awol. It was only a matter of time before they scored scowern came on and the 5 man midfield got us a point only problem is sam winnall isn't a lone striker bradshaw would of been better
Since when do you ever see a team scoring 20 goals in a league match though? I would hazard a guess literally never or even if there has been an odd time it's certainly not a regular occurence where you should be expecting it.
Never in England. 13 goals is the highest ever I believe (professional). There have been stupid shorelines of 38-0 in some corrupt countries though
