It can only really happen in London because I can't imagine there being the development opportunity in most other towns or cities, and I would be surprised if a council in a one or two club city would behave this way. I just don't see this as being the start of an epidemic.
What I did see or should hear at the play off final was a huge roar from the Millwall end when their so called fans were running around the top tier to get at our fans. Sounded like a very large minority to me if indeed it was a minority. I won't loose no sleep over anything that happens to that club on that one incident alone.
I'm sure there are one or two lovely Millwall fans. Sadly I didn't meet one, all weekend in London. I did, however come across tons, men, women and even their kids, hell bent on aggro. On the trains, and outside Wembley. I was manhandled by a Millwall fan who tried to stop me walking across Wembley Way. Me and my daughter were hassled from all the way from Central London to Wembley, on the Tube. I thought Cardiff were awful, but I'd be quite jubilant if Millwall went bust and we never see them again. Their club seems to sweep under the carpet the awful behaviour of a huge amount of their fans. Sorry, but I'd be delighted if they disappear without a trace.
A "scummer." You would never be welcome with all the decent, beautiful, loving & respectful people I go to the match with. Bye
When we beat Man Utd at Oakwell in 1998 I was living in Hyde Park in Leeds & I stepped in twice to stop man utd scum beating up old blokes who were over 65. I had to go on the train with the cnuts back to Leeds. If you are gonna tar one club with that, have the balls to go for the big boys.
I'm a 47 year old woman. I attend games with my 16 year old daughter. Mixing it with "the big boys" is not really my scene. In 1998, I watched games with my Mother. Sadly she wasn't fussed about scuffling with idiots either. Sorry to disappoint. We just go to support our club, preferably hassle-free.
Can't stand them *******s and I won't sign any petition for them. Had it been any other club I would have, but not them.
Agreed. Apologies to the small minority that are decent fans, but good riddance... hopefully they can find a new club to support. Have real sympathy for anyone losing their home, but please don't ask me to have any empathy for that club. Unfortunately their catchphrase is about to bite them in the a*se. They are Millwall.... and we don't care
No need for that Peachey. Take a breather, posts like that are why a lot of people don't bother on here anymore
I have sympathy for the homeowners. I have no sympathy for Millwall supporters who either partake in or condone and encourage violence and hooligan behaviour. When a small number of our fans were acting disgracefully last year against Leeds large boos went round the stadium from the majority of fans who were condemning the behaviour. When a tiny percentage go on the pitch you hear large choruses of boos from the rest of us. When somebody holds the ball for too long you hear boos. In fact whenever we have a small minority of dickheads tarnishing our club the rest of us are always there to condemn them back the at the time and afterwards. The same goes for clubs up and down the country. You will never completely eradicate the hooligans but every club will spare their hooligan element and you hear booing of them almost every time it happens. Not at Millwall though. As hundreds of hooligans ran around the upper tier of Wembley stadium hell bent on attacking Barnsley fans what was the response from the 'reasonable' Millwall fans? Silence. No attempt to stop it, no attempt to boo or to criticise just silence as they watched a regular occurrence while wearing their hateful branded shirts 'no one likes us we don't care'. What was there response in the aftermath? It was a response from lies and blame shifting. The barnsly fans weren't in those seats in the first half, they came at half time to cause trouble. Lies. What response did Millwall FC give to complaints? They didnt! They replied to complaints saying they would direct the complaints to their commercial director (wtf?) And then ignored all emails and refused to respond. Awful club and football would be safer without them
For some reason this thread kept appearing at the top of my page. Not sure if it was a related thread to something else I'd posted or why it appeared but I felt like replying while it was there for about the 50th time today
I thought I might have but what would it be sorted by that puts that at the top? It wasn't alphabetical or by reply numbers or anything like that. Nevermind. You're right, it was the oldest thread that wasn't archived
I'm just glad you pointed that out! Was about to kick off with @Conan Troutman and @tyrone1 for their behaviour in this thread.
Don't forget this was after their manager encouraged the fans to make a "hostile atmosphere" for us at Wembley. I find the club to be fundamentally unlikeable and have nothing positive to say about them.
