Ipswich have fallen away and have only scored 2 goals in their last 4 games. Surely if he was championship standard theyd be keeping him?
I'd be fuming if I were a Rotherham or Ipswich fan. I can't think of one reason why he'd join Peterborough unless he's from there. Baffling transfer.
I am sure he is out of contract end of season, maybe he wants out and so they want to cash in now instead of leaving on a free?
If he had sufficiently improved wouldn’t ipswitch want him back? Like you say better than another pointless loan but you can really see him being the impact player we need.
I agree with you , he has done very well at Rotherham but the way some are reacting , you would think we are missing out on the new Messi
You may be right, but they did invest in their attack in summer (Waghorn and Garner) so may want to persist with them. Also I am sure his contact is up in summer so maybe he want out so they may just want to sell. Not personally seen him in action so I have no idea if he is the answer. But he has been on form this season and is a target man type like we need so I would personally take a punt unless we have someone better lined up. All pure speculation at this stage anyway and still early in window so plenty of time to get someone in.
If he's the level of player we're after we are in massive trouble. Not sure whether to take this thread as a wind up or what.
Why? Because lower league players have served us so badly in the past haven't they............. Not saying he is the answer and I am sure there are better players about but we still have to be realistic about who we can target.
So hecky says he wants a lad who can head and everyones jumping on this bandwagon. Just cos hes 9ft tall it doesnt mean its what is needed. For me he is well down the pecking order of potential transfers
No because he's been around for a long time, never impressed and even dropped out of the football league. Plus hasn't PH said we're looking for ready made players now? He's the type of player Sheff Utd go after not us.
Yeah, scoring for fun in a division above where the likes of Potts, Lindsay, Pinnock, McGeehan, Mcdonald and Mallan came from, cheap, tall and a big threat in the air, definitely not the sort of player we should be looking at.
Yeah PH has said that, but also Moore has impressed this season hasn't he? While we may be looking for ready made players now we still will be getting some from lower leagues as the owners stated that we are not throwing money at it and will build slowly. Ready made players come with a large fee unfortunately and we will not be paying large fees in the first window with new owners. While Moore may not be the greatest striker in the country he is certainly different to what we have and for the price could be a good signing even if only on the bench.
IN MY OPINION FOR WHAT ITS WORTH .If a player cant make it into his parent club first team I think that there are two reasons why 1. hes not good enough 2. hes not good enough If he is available for loan then see the above. If so then why do we think hes good enough to get into our side. Can anyone remember us signing a quality player either on loan or permanent.
Anderson de Silva Adam Hammill To name two Are you seriously suggesting we’ve never signed “a quality player”?
Matty James Ashley Fletcher Josh Brownhill Joe Williams Kevin Long Just off the top of my head, and covering loan players from the last couple of years, who didn't then go on to become permanent signings. I'm assuming that you are not a real poster, as I can't imagine anyone I've met in real life actually writing such inane tripe. Actually, come to think of it.....
