Wow so he's had a little purple patch for 4 months let's bang in a £5m bid before PSG get in there first. Give me strength
OK, if this is such a ludicrous option, who should we get instead that is realistic and so much better??
I do think we ought to be careful not to just sign a 'big man', for the sake of signing one. I agree we need more physical presence up top and the option to go long, effectively, would be nice. But I worry that this search for a tall striker will simply allow us to play long ball even more than now. Perhaps more effectively, but for it to avoid becoming a dismal watch, we need a very competent lone striker. I'm not sure how good Kieffer Moore is, so a sound judgement on his credentials won't be offered. But let's remember that we need a capable lone striker, not just any old tall striker who has scored a few. I do realise it is difficult to get a good front man, especially given our league position. But I'd hate to just stick an average tall lad up top and boot it towards him (Kieffer Moore may well be a lot better than average I admit, but the point stands).
Just because you've picked out such a dreadful option doesn't mean I have to come up with a name like I've been scouting the lower leagues and youth teams for the last 6 months kieffer Moore is obviously not up to the level we need though is he otherwise Ipswich would be recalling him to play him, not to sell him for £250k is it?
Derby decided Ashley ward wasn’t up to premier league standard, Oldham decided neal redfesrn wasn’t up to championship standard. There’s thousands of footballers similar
Nope, you're right. In our entire 130 year history we've never had a quality player. All our players have been rubbish.
I have never seen Kieffer Moore play, other than TV highlights. But I'm surprised by this clamour for him,not sure he fits the recruitment plan.
We would have never sign any players if that was true... its all about opinions mate and getting the best out of em. One mans Pele is another mans donkey
I was simply stating a rumour I had seen and also sharing my opinion that he looks decent and could add something we don’t already have and for a cheap price. Just because he can’t get into Ipswich’s side doesn’t tell us he is crap, he simply might not want to sign on there anymore hence the need to sell. How can you instantly tell he is not up to our level? Have you been scouting this lad loads? And not sure how you can post and say how dreadful this suggestion is but offer no alternative. The fact you can’t name anyone better shows a lot.
Because I've seen him play before and remember thinking he was useless. Plus his record up until this year.
Posh owner Darragh MacAntGorraClue confirms on Twitter they’ve pulled out of Moore transfer due to FFP. Radio Deedar reckons Rotherham still in for him. Hecky didn’t give anything away re Him in today’s presser... interesting to see where he goes
I remember seeing Chris Wood playing for us and thinking exactly the same. Some players are rubbish at one club and world beaters at the next (and vice versa). Every signing is a gamble. You never know if you're gonna get meat or cheese.
MacAnthony has told one of their fans he's not prepared to pay Moore a five figure weekly wage unlike the Club he's joining.! Would Rotherham pay that kind of money.? If they won't, with two loans going back, two out on loan and one sold, we might have the financial clout to be able to pay somebody that kind of a wage.!
Bradford have matched the transfer fee but only Barnsley are offering him his wage demands. Twitter. Interesting
If it is Moore it's a massive gamble IMO. If he can't break into the Ipswich team is he really of Championship quality.?
Went to Donny v Rovrum in the international break earlier in the season. Both Marquis and Moore were playing and I left feeling really underwhelmed by both. Neither was anywhere remotely near 'plug and play' Championship standard on that showing. I can only recall two moments of any quality in the whole game and both of them were from Ryan Williams!
