Reading his match report in the Chronicle I thought some of his observations were way over the top.Describing us as "clueless and amateurish " and suggesting that Jacob Brown could follow Barnet and Chesterfield into non league if his finishing doesn't improve. That comment alone for a young lad making his first team debut was in my opinion way out of order.
I read the chronicle last week and he was so dull , just full of unnecessary boring stats . At least this week he's shot from the hip which makes for better reading . no-one likes beige .
I wish we could get back to Keith Lodge , I thought he said it as he saw it & we got a lot more coverage in those days . I personally gave it a go under Andrew Lodge but eventually sacked the Chronicle & have not bought a copy for over six years .
lets not get all fired up about Doug O'kane. He is a nothing but a hack reporter in a tin pot back water news rag... a weekly one at that... If he was any good he would be in a national Daily... and that's never gonna happen is it. We have a very good team, a young team ... an improving team, we will get better and better.... the blueprint of the way we do things is working well IMHO... we have a Coaching team in place that's excellent from the first team right the way down through the academies too. We have a multi billion consortium backing us... The kids coming through will have some rough edges on them, but I think they will be smoothed off and we will benefit from them.... we are known for taking rough diamonds and polishing them to glitter, which sells us to up and coming stars . Oh and by the way I say to Doug O'Kane WHO ARE YA WHO ARE YA WHO ARE YA a jumped up nowter that's who... swim back down to the bottom of the pond and slither beneath the rock you came from
That reporting and the fact the chronicle had an advert for the Tories a bit ago just illustrates why I don’t buy the paper any more.
It's a rather odd piece in my opinion. It's more or less an attack on stendel which mad in itself considering our start.
Scunthorpe game gone and forgotten then.Young players will have highs and lows in there performances they need patience not criticising in the local wrag
I don't buy the Chronicle and haven't done for well over ten years. But I can't see why the club and any of its employees should be above any kind of criticism... We're not a communist/fascist dictatorship yet..... I think..
Do you really think we should be in the position where we have to start him. Selling Bradshaw and then acquiring a replacement who isn't fit.
A replacement who was injured after he signed Who's to say Bradshaw might have stayed then got injured, out for months or even the season, fans would have kicked off for refusing decent bids for him
Come off it, I don't do coincidences. He clearly injured himself during the medical, like was rumoured at the time. The crap about Bradshaw is really clutching at straws.
I'm personally not against criticism, which is fair when warranted, however the report goes past being critical imo. See what you think?
He was injured when we signed him let’s be honest. We should have held onto Bradshaw until an adequate and fit replacement was available. No doubt it’s affected our form since he left.
Apart from anything else in that rubbish article I want to know when exactly keiffer Moore ducked under the ball. He was on the line when the ball went across the edge of the 6 yard box. Liam lindsay was the one who decided he didn't want to jump for the ball (again) but even he didn't duck under it, nobody did.
