I hate Liverpool. Their fans are grief-junkie skip-rats from the arsehole of the world. They'll win the league, however, and we'll never hear the end of it. I so hope I am wrong, but nobody's going to catch them.
You can't help but like their manager to be fair too. Also never bought the Sun newspaper there and never backed down, great credit to them.
I have to say I think Liverpool, whilst having plenty of rough areas as most do, is a cracking city and I’ve a lot of time for its people. Arsehole of the world? Skip rats? Grow up. Van Dyke had an off night and Lovren is terrible - (he’d walk into City or Leicester’s team mind you), they also had their second choice keeper and pretty much a B team in front of the back four. And still smashed up the opposition. They will win the league, and I hope they do to be honest too. I’m not a fan of the club (though my dad was), but it is a great side that has been assembled, they were hugely unfortunate to miss out last year when city caught up and passed them by winning about twenty games in a row from January, and they are clearly the best side this season.
Didn’t used to mind Liverpool, but the conduct of their fans since they got a moderate amount of success recently has been unbearable. I now despise the arrogant tw@ts. They are absolutely choc full of hypocrisy too, (rightly) up in arms when anything happens to them in terms of chants but have some of the most vile going for other clubs (certain one about runways comes to mind). Add to that their wafer thin illusion of tolerance then they do things like that origi poster. When they do win the league, it is going to be horrendous. They also act like they’ve achieved their success without spending a penny which is ludicrous when you look at some of their transfer fees. I don’t really mind any prem club one way or another- feels so far removed from us as to not interest me too much, but I hate them and their fans. Definitely as bad as if not worse than the Man U fans (with a chennells season ticket) were when they were in their pomp.
Have to honestly say that in both my business career and social life I count several Scousers as friends. Very warm, friendly and generous folk with a fantastic sense of humour. They have split loyalties between the Red and Blue half of Merseyside, but are all Football mad. During our Premiership season, a Liverpool supporting mate who lives in Bradford, didn't renew at Anfield and bought a season ticket at Oakwell instead. Now classes us as his second team.
Technically, thats not quite as true as youd like to believe. Just wait until they have an offer in the Sun for Alton Towers,Blackpool pleasure beach. Theres always a scally outside looking to turn a quick buck...
Got loads of good mates in Liverpool. I was sat in the Kop with some of them when we won at Anfield in the Premier League, when Lars Leese played a blinder. Also went to Goodison that year, but they beat us. Both were great days out. Always liked some of the bars near the Uni, but it's going back a bit since I had a night out there.
Most genuine Liverpool fans aren't like that to be fair - then again even if they were unbearable can you blame them with the run they've been on
