I'm guessing this has been done at some point on here but seen as though I'm missing football out of all the players you have seen in your lifetime, who would make your best XI? Mine would be: Buffon Maldini Cannavaro Baresi Cafu C. Ronaldo Zidane Pirlo Ronaldinho Messi Ronaldo
Can't argue with the GK and back 4. But would go for rest of team as: Xavi Zidane Iniesta Messi C Ronaldo Ronaldinho Although could be persuaded to swap Iniesta with Scholes or Pirlo.
Right, I’m going to have a go at both then as if I go with on TV on its own I’d be too close to yours
To be fair I feel like I've made a mistake leaving Pirlo out. But I needed to have at least a couple of players different to yours.
Seaman Neville Adams Terry Pearce Gerrard Platt Scholes Beckham Sheringham Shearer Bench: Fowler Barmby Lampard Le Saux Bruce Beardsley Merson
OK - best team made up of players I’ve seen in person: Schmeichel Thuram - Adams - Koeman - Lahm Zidane - Matthaus - Gascoigne C Ronaldo - Bergkamp - Cantona Subs: Redfearn - Shevchenko - Batistuta - Zola - De Bruyne - Iniesta - Aguero
I feel like it’s harsh that I’ve left Redfearn out for Zidane but I didn’t want to be accused of being biased.
Fat Ronaldo in his prime has to start upfront. Possibly the best centre forward ever during his prime.
Yashin. N. Santos. D. Edwards. B. Moore. Cafu. Socrates. B. Charlton. D. Maradona. G. Best. A. DiStafano. Pele.
Higuita Thuram-Baresi-Maldini C.Ronaldo-Gascoigne-Matthäus-Brehme Cantona Bergkamp-Batistuta Higuita based purely on the fact he was a lunatic. In for the bants. Wouldn't need to save much anyway based on that legendary back three which becomes a back four if necessary with the captain, Lothar dropping in. Gazza is quite frankly the greatest player of all time to me. C.Ronaldo speaks for himself. Brehme could play with both feet, left or right side and he was a right 'hunt'. Cantona and Bergkamp are often forgotten about but two better technical forwards you'll be hard pressed to find. Both capable of coming deep, both prone to the odd moment, adding to what would be a very tw@ttish XI. Batistuta is the most frightening striker in history. Reight team. Brian Clough in the dugout. Obviously.
Born late 80s so I’ll pick players from after that- Buffon Dani Alves Nesta Puyol Maldini Xavi Zidane Iniesta Messi Ronaldo C.Ronaldo Subs Schmeichel Thuram Marcelo Pirlo Ronaldinho Suarez De Bruyne
It’s impossible to debate with anybody what the best team of players you’ve seen , I can’t even agree with myself! Mind you I’ve got errr a fair database to go back through . Thing is they aren’t obvious sometimes, like I’ve always thought Pat Jennings was one of the best all round keepers I’ve ever seen. It’s strange though even with the Peles etc I’d still want Ronnie Glavin in there, anything else would feel wrong!
It is tough! I wanted Thierry Henry in there as I thought he was amazing, but I can't sub any of those
