That'll be a minimum aswell....... God I'm gagging for an afternoon of footy, few games of pool and a proper pint tomorrow afternoon talking ballax with the mates and ripping the **** out of eachother.
It's gone on that long I don't care if I go to the pub again to be honest. I've got Sky, cheep multi packs from the Supermarket and have just as much fun online on here as I did down the pub.
Can't say I'm interested in the pubs opening with restrictions still in place, it was soulless. Will probably fo out for a meal or 2 to try and support them.
The industry really has been dry loved. I've never seen anything like this. I'm too young to remember the miners strike but it's an industry that really could go to the wall while the supermarkets have an unfair monopoly. I think supermarket chiefs must be Tory donors. The decisions that have been made haven't been fair in the slightest. It goes beyond Covid. I know it's conspiracy but someone's had their fingers in some pies.
As someone who does like a drink in the house I've always been of the opinion that as soon as the pubs and restaurants closed then the supermarkets etc should have been stopped from selling alcohol aswell. It would have largely put a stop to at least the vast majority of 'illegal' house party's, gatherings, bbqs etc. Then maybe we wouldn't be where we are now nearly a year down the line.
I can't see the small minority of people attending house parties as what is driving a epidemic in the UK.
It wasn't meant to sound like that. I think it would've helped in bringing a totally different way of behaviour for a lot. People were ,especially in the summer treating the lockdown as a nice little holiday. Let's be right for the vast majority of the various lockdowns they've in fact not even felt like a lockdown.
Especially, all things Brexit, Trump & global pandemics. Never knew we had so many amazingly qualified experts in our midst. Cloth caps & whippets, my arse..
How can they say that at this stage? May is 14 weeks away and the R rate has already dropped below 1. A lot can change for the better over the next couple of months.
