The most I can imagine us spending is a million, but if we're willing to spend a million on a player I bet another club would pay them more. Going to be tough to get them in!

Buy a L1/L2 striker for £1 million like Marquis or even James Vaughn. Get a young loan in. That would give us 4 strikers (including Payne and Bradshaw)

We've reportedly paid £750 for McGeehan and a million for Pinnock so why would you say £750 tops for a striker?

If they're in any way proven at L1 or Championship level we'd probably be outbid on wages for a free agent. Could maybe see us going for another 'project' like Fryers if there's one about though.

I would be shocked if we have paid £1m for a defender who has only played 40 odd games in the Conference. I just don't see it.

We didn't spend any money on a replacement for Winnall in January when we really needed to. I can't see us paying more than 750k now. Not that we will ever know as it will be undisclosed.

Javier Hernandez has a 13,000,000€ release clause. Sign him up.

£2,500,000 is probably the top end. £19,000 a week for three years is about three million quid. So basically the entirety of the Robbo fee. Not that I reckon we'd spend that on any one player.

I didn't really count him as he was well established in England when we bought him. Plus he speaks better English than Wayne Rooney.

I also liked Hristov, but he was hardly an unqualified success was he? Part of that was down to his injury, but still.....

I'm hoping that Canny Ganaye (yes you saw 'Canny Ganaye' used here first) will bring a couple of young continental strikers in for around the £1M mark.

I would think that £1M would get a very exciting striker from the continent for that much.

What do you base that on ? Not having a pop, just curious has to how a figure of £1 million will fetch you an exciting striker, as if that was the case, wouldn"t all English clubs do their shopping on the continent.

Dare I say this haha... How about a cheeky bid for George Hirst at Wednesday.. Bags of potential, gonna get a far better chance of 1st team action this next season at least with us than with the Wendies.. Like history reversing itself.. Looks to have the missing physical attributes lacking from our strikers, mainly height. He's no slouch either.
