Highlighted by two excellent goals. Hopefully, we don't play 442 again for a while. Whilst we were hardly ripping the place up in the first half, at least we were in control and comfortably coping with QPR. Time for bed methinks.
I have to hold my hands up. I don't like one up front and have been one of the many wanting a change, but we were better with one up front tonight!
Two excellent goals? Did their’s not go in pretty centrally, our goalkeeper moving out of the way of it as much as towards it?
Just seen the highlights. Looked like we had a decent game although edited highlights can be deceptive. Good goal from Barnes. As for QPR goal. Think Williams could have done much better in closing the player down. Left him with too much time on the ball in which to get his shot off. Still a good goal all the same.
It was a dull game, Ian. But I don't believe it to be indicative of our team's general play so far this season. Nor do I think it was a season defining match. The more I see of young Lindsay, the more I rate him. He appears to be a bit of a bargain from Partick Thistle. The only positive aspect of the evening (apart from Lindsay, our goal & Hammill's second half shot) was the terrific reception given to Josh Scowen at the conclusion of the game.
I remember you (biglil) once telling me that QPR were a club historically we rarely had good results against. So I suppose 1-1 is decent result. Certainly better than a defeat. Glad to hear that my fellow Scot is doing well.
The game's done now, old mate. I have faith in Hecky, I have faith in the squad to improve and progress and I don't think I'm on my own.
