These aren't in order but it makes for interesting reading, for instance in the last 5 seasons Barnsley have apparently spent 9.4 million on players and sold others for 17.5 million.
I am struggling to think of players we've paid for which total 9.4 million in that time, but according to this which comes from transfer league website we have a surplus of 8.1 million

 

I'd be surprised if we've spent 9.4 million in the last 10 years never mind 5

 

Moncur, Lee, Thiam, Bradshaw, Winnall, Mallan, McDonald, Mawson that's nearly half of that amount there..

 

I also think Mcarthy & Mowatt can be added to that list as they both incurred fees plus Pinnock who I had forgot

 

The wages table is the really important one. We'd be behind only maybe Burton on that one.
