It's not a chore mate. I often hear people stating that they go home and away as if it somehow martyrs them, but I look forward to the away trips. Wouldn't go if I didn't. And I don't drink on matchdays either!
It's interesting regarding Jason McCarthy as 3 months ago certain posters on this forum were saying he was the best signing of the summer. Never saw it myself and always thought he was liability defensively. His confidence is currently at rock bottom and he's struggling to do the basics. As you ay he needs a lot of work...
It's always the same. People are too quick to judge either way. Mccarthy has his own song! Gardner made a lot of people eat their words last week.
I was full of praise for McCarthy at earlier on this season and don't feel the need to apologise to anyone on here for my views. I believe his form has dropped off these past three months, as has Davies', but I'm not going to pillory either of them for it.
Thing about this whole thread for me is it's largely just folk picking odd bits of individuals' performances today and using them to re-state pre-set views and prejudices, ignoring any other elements of the individuals performance that happens to be to the contrary. However, the plain fact of the matter is that individually and collectively they (all of them) weren't anywhere near good enough where it matters, at either end of the pitch.
But you can only say what you see. If you think he's playing well, no way should you hold back in saying so just in case his form dips later. If it's OK for folk to make a negative judgement on players, so should the opposite apply.
