Davies 4 - I'm a big fan of Davies but something has made his brain melt over the last few months. Kicking is getting worse, time-wasting getting embarrassing and he should have stopped the 2nd goal. Stinker today.

Yiadom 8 - Another good game. We'll miss him when he's gone.

Cavare 3. I said last week he's a liability. He's got so much going for him but he's always 1 moment away from madness, either getting sent off or passing it to their centre forward 18 yards out.

Lindsay 8 -Best game he's had for over a month. Looked back to his best.

Pearson 7 - Best game in a Red shirt. Still does things too slow when on the ball but not a bad back up for a few positions

Moncur 7 - Excellent first half. Showed some real grit and effort, but looked ****** as the game wore on. Thought he played the position well.

Mallan - 6. Has moments of quality but I think hes still too light weight to play in a midfield 2.

Gardner - 8. I owe him an apology. After a terrible start to his life at Oakwell, I think he's starting to settle in. Combative and has stopped giving the ball away cheaply. Not yet sure whether he's worth a contract though as he was on good money at Villa and maybe better options for the money.

Hammill - 6 Not his best game and was one tackle from being sent off. Tbf he could have been sent off for that awful scissor tackle he was booked for, very lucky.

Bradshaw - 6. I just wish he was a yard or two quicker, if he was he wouldn't be playing with us I suppose. Linked reasonably well with Moore. Unfortunate to be the one to make way after the sending off, but it was the only option.

Moore - 8. Ran himself into the ground as is a handful. I like the look of him, and he's definitely quicker than you think. Get him working with Bradshaw and he'll be a great addition. Good man to have if playing one up front.

Subs - Pinillos - 7 Think he looks a decent recruit, steady on the ball and good defensively. Might see him venture forward more when we have a full compliment of players.

Hedges 7 - Did well when he came on. Quality cross to the back post and a great run and shot just after. Just wished he'd have carried it further because he'd done the hard work and then had a rush of blood when clean through.

Thiam - 0. Shouldn't play again for me. Absolutely dire. I don't mind players being a bit crap, but at least put yourself about. You have 20 minutes to do a job. Put yourself about and close players down. That to one side, his movement and ability to make runs is non league standard. ******* ****, and how he turned up on any spreadsheet is beyond belief. Someone is responsible for coming up with that one.

    Agree with all that.

Think you've rated Thiam a little high though.

Hammill has done nothing in this league since his first spell here. Yet is above criticism. Can’t beat a man and his delivery has been woeful. Hedges in front of him when fit, but need more wide players because Isgrove is made of weetabix.

Cavare shouldn't play again this season. Total knobhead.

Hammill should have gone off at half-time as he could already have been red-carded for kicking the ball away on top of the yellow he eventually got.

Thiam came on to replace a knackered Moore and looked even more knackered. He'll soon be wider than he's tall.

Moore's 8 is for effort but we need more from a forward, things like goals, and he doesn't look likely to deliver many.

This is really disappointing to hear. I've only seen him once, and that was against Reading where he was brilliant and was only a goal off capping a perfect 90 minutes. He just looked unfit but I felt with a few more games under his belt, he'd be an asset.

    What's happened?

Can't agree about Pinillos. Their first goal was his fault as he put no sort of a tackle in then he shouldn't have let their bloke get across him for the second. However, he should never have had to have been dropped in in a match like that after a few days in the country and barely knowing his teammates. Blame Cavare. Hopefully he'll come good.

You're spot on that Moore was very promising though and ran his sack off. Potentially a good partnership there with Bradshaw. And Moncur might be an asset yet if he can keep his first half workrate up.

Only thing I'd disagree with is that I think Mallan did well. Much better in the middle than Moncur or Potts, and Moncur seemed to do better out of the middle.

My 6 is a did reasonably well.

I thought he did ok, started better than he finished though.

Just shows how low on numbers we are in midfield though for me. He’s neat and tidy but we’ll get overrun if he’s the 2nd of a midfield 2.

Aye but if you compare his first 45 (11 men) to all the other combos we've had in midfield, I thought the pairing of Gardner and Mallan was much better than any other midfield pairing in recent weeks. I'd pick Mallan in the middle ahead of Moncur or Potts every day of the week. Puts a foot in. Doesn't go missing. Takes a set piece. Contributes.

He's improving in my book. He doesn't cover that much ground, but some of his passing is sublime. He's not a great tackler, but I can see he's working on that. How much we should be relying on him as starter I'm still not convinced. For me would be Gardiner & Williams, but I'd like us to get another holding midfielder, as I think Gardiner & Williams can be pushed on.

Thought Mallan did OK. I agree he looks lightweight, and the pace of a game still looks to surprise him. However, he has done enough to earn a run and more games should see him up to speed. He could be an asset.
