Just my thoughts but I genuinely think the reason we have struggled is we are playing with anchors on. When we were at our best we had a right go at teams, we pressed and just wore teams out. We also just had a pop at goal a lot more often. I think we are playing with the brakes applied imho I think **** or bust we should just go for it we are good enough just let em have their head. Only my view but we need to do what worked.
If we take the approach of loading with defence minded players that's all we'll get.we need to get our heads up and start having a go at teams we need attack minded players with a licence to do their job. I think we are good enough but it's all about opinion.
love to see us have a right go at the pigs on Saturday, come out swinging , every match all I seem to do is shout hit it for f#+k sake
Agree we should hammer the crap out of em from minute 1 hope we change things and give em a right humping on Saturday. If there was a game to change the season it's this one.
I just don't think we have the quality to go at teams currently. Think a few of the squad will be capable eventually but worried it might be too late.
I just want us to try 2 upfront with out Bradshaw being one of them. I want 2 wingers who are natural wingers whipping the ball in to the middle and I want to see mallan taking free kicks sticking the ball on the big lads heads. Piece of piss this football game.
I'd like to see us play like we did against Sunderland earlier on in the season when we beat them at Oakwell if the game allows us to, pressure them high up the pitch, drive through the midfield and have plenty of shots on goal.
Fair enough then. Lets shut up shop and try not to concede then and be glad to have 0 rather than having a go at teams.
I’m not saying we should do that necessarily but most teams are too for for us to just have a go. Sunderland are **** mind
Goals win games but almost as importantly, goals make fans happy. I'd sooner lose 3-4 than 0-1. Having a go at teams and attacking is a large part of the fun of a football match. I don't honestly know if we look better playing 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 at the moment. But either formation can provide goals if we push high up the pitch, inject pace into every attack, get numbers forward. Sunderland at home, Forest and Ipswich at home in parts, the Derby cup game, all these games saw us swarm forward, create openings and score a fair few goals. We've lost that part of the game. Long balls floated into Bradshaw or Moore create nothing. They simply isolate the front man and bypass a static midfield. Whichever formation we play, let's please try to get numbers forward and PASS the ball quickly and neatly as we go. Goals will follow...
