Strange, dozed off after doing a bit of work on my website.. Strange premonition that Stuart McCall was appointed manager later this week... Now I ain't no Nostradamus so don't hold me to that haha.. But if that did happened, thinking about it, I'd be fairly positive about it. First little bad run he got at Bradfud and they pull the trigger on his tenure... So, gonna stick a few quid on this on the basis of nothing.. Must be the octopus/squid I had for tea.
Wow, just tried to put a tenner on McCall at Bet Victor... They won't accept that exposure at 34/1.. Queried this online with their traders, they will only allow me to place a bet of £1 maximum at these odds... Cancelled account forthwith, utter garbage, recommend people avoid like the plague.
Took a grand and a half off BV one weekend and they immediately cancelled my best odds guarantee, so I cancelled my account
I brought up McCall a week ago - not much love on here, but I'd have him in at Oakwell in a heartbeat. Good football, did great with Bradford, who pulled the trigger after one bad run of results. Players love him.
He's never managed them. Was Colin's no.2 when they were promoted to the PL and played there. Played in the side that got to the playoffs and coached their reserves to the league title. So 'quite a bit' is the answer to your question.
He was in the frame on a previous occasion if I recall correctly. For some reason, he doesn't appear to " like" us. Don't know why. Maybe taken stick when he's played against us. Would be surprised if he rocked up at Oakwell.
Was it because of one set of bad results though ? Seems a bit harsh for me , I heard he’s a bit of a hotheadb
Listened to Radio Leeds' hour-long Bradford City show last week and that wasn't hinted at. Apart from one mardy text from a listener - they all loved him; fans, players, studio pundits. They were the better side in the playoff final by a country mile, but lost 1-0 to Miwwwawww and were 6th in the table this time round, even after a run of defeats (6?) Football being what it is, that was enough for the axe to fall.
I knew he never managed them and wondered what he had done there hence my question, a genuine one I hasten to add and thanks for the reply.
I too have a premonition - the initials of the name of the new manager will be adjacent letters in the alphabet but in reverse order.
