    It says his daughter was two rather than two weeks but either way it’s horrendous.

    Hopefully his wife has a good network around her. I’m sure the club will help her.

    Truly terrible for a man of that age to die, sadly I know it’s inevitable some will. Just all the more surprising when it’s a professional sportsman presumably at the peak of fitness.

    At just under 35, very overweight (though trying to sort that currently) and unfit due to the inability to do much exercise due to injuries sustained in a car crash many years ago, it makes me consider my own mortality and to appreciate my family. You never know what might happen.

    It is beyond doubt that cancelling all of today’s fixtures in Italy is the right call.
