lennon and carvahal are both 10/1 now, hurst 11/1 and Michael jolley (Grimsby manager) 16/1 think there is a lot of clutching at straws
The betting markets offer virtually no guidance on managerial appointments. They are more a reflection of who a handful of fans have had a couple of quid on.
Wonder if we’re waiting for play offs and season to finish for all clubs , and then after one of managers whose involved still in play offs etc
I’d like Lennon. Sometimes it’s about the right club at the right time. If he was allowed to do things his way reckon he could be a good fit. Edit: just a quick google search. Perhaps not. Poor at Bolton and sounds a nasty piece of work threatening women with knives. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/football-boss-neil-lennon-knife-7044229
Of all the prospective managers being quoted by the bookies my preference would be Graham Potter. He was a decent player, has all the coaching badges, is extremely intelligent (could be an English Wenger) and has worked wonders in Sweden for six years. That said I reckon Swansea may get there first with bigger money.
Now he does look excellent. But imagine he is aiming higher than League 1 if he wants to come to Britain.
I'd be more inclined to say we would be a good opportunity for him at a decent level compared to what he's managing at now.... If a club higher up take a gamble on him good luck but I think he needs to prove he can cut it over here before he gets a bigger job than league 1!
