We Results wise over the last year younwould go with him based on that. He has just completely failed with Bradford a similar team with a similar budget. My mates who are long standing Bradford fans reckon he’s the worst manager they’ve ever had.
600 plus games at Blackpool, Huddersfield, Preston, Leeds, four promotions and youre judging him on 18 games at Sunderland who were a car crash before he joined and still are and 14 at Bradford where things have not gone well but were already on the turn downwards or they wouldn't have sacked their previous manager.
I’m judging him on his recent record not stuff he did years ago. Like Wenger managers have a shelf life Grayson’s has been and gone. In the real world there is little chance of him being appointed for various reasons so it’s a daft argument.
Goal keeper...failed to get that over the line didnt they ...cant see that being the managers fault can you in all honesty
I don't know the full story on the keeper but how can the board be blamed for not backing the manager when he made 7 additions to the squad.
The ju The jury is still out on that one were they HECKYS signings or were they the pick of a bad bunch that were presented to him with the option of ....some ones got to have the fat kid
I don't know the ins and outs of the Oakwell transfer dealing I can only go on what Paul himself said. The way I see it though if a transfer is a success and Paul takes the praise ,surely if a player fails he's got to take some blame. He can't have it both ways.
Well Well said,Who ever the next coach/manager gets the job we have to back him we need to get out of the pub league ASAP
Seen a few on twitter too that don't like the idea of Grayson either. What is it with him? Do people genuinely not like the Leeds connection or something? His record in League one speaks for itself.
Yet you still continue to praise a former head coach who inherited one of if not the best squad to grace league one who were already on a roll got them promoted. Then spent more money than any other barnsley manager, his football from last Jan to his leaving was awful to watch, along with poor team selection naive tactics and poor substitions and playing players out of position. But you wouldn't want a manager who has gained promoion from league one with blackpool, Huddersfield, Preston, Leeds
It's that he's a busted flush. His former clubs are not an issue to me: I hate The Champions of Yorop, but I don't care if we appoint an ex-manager of theirs so long as the bloke is halfway competent. I can put up with Ebola football so long as it wins. Grayson plays Ebola football which loses. He's got a miserable demeanour. I just don't like the bloke. If you look at my posting history, I was prepared to tolerate him post-Hecky. No longer, though. He's had a season of his teams getting regularly massacred, and I am convinced he would be a disaster.
In the past he's done brilliant. He's the league one version of Colin and half those he's got promoted have gone on to experience premier league football under a new boss. I think the issue is he's failed now at a couple of jobs in a row, so people are wondering if his best is in the past, thus we should be going for someone with more recent success.
