Missed the header that set up Stones' second. Was offside when Lingard won the penalty. Perhaps it's unfair of me to criticise after that, but I wouldn't stick with him.

Footballs a funny game, he might just come up with something in one of the tighter games later on.

I think with his pace we're better bringing him on from the bench when the opposition are tiring.

Fair point, but we've still got Vardy and Rashford for pace. Thing with Sterling is the unpredictability which might benefit us in the knockout games.

Hasnt done enough in the 2 games to warrant his place id say. Also, its a shame about the lack of quality in the central midfield area, Henderson just seems bog standard to me.

He gets a lot of stick (unwarranted imo) but he’s been poor in the first 2 games. I’d definitely give Rashford a chance against Belgium to see if he can show anything against a much better side.

I agree about Sterling but its a confidence game and we are winning. Maybe he'll do better in the tighter games

Stirling is a passenger, l think l would get 20 or so goals a season playing with the Man City team, he doesn’t look the same for England. Bring in Rashford!

Whichever way you slice it yesterday was another game that passed him by.
We seem to keep repeating the same mistake and expecting a different outcome with him I'm afraid.

Think he has played well so far.
Taken the responsibility of being the loan holding midfielder well as he usually has Dier along side him as support. Would you prefer Jake Livermore perhaps?
