Surprised he doesn't go to a private pool... but at least his Leeds ex manager status hasn't gone to his head and he feels able to show his face in and around town again
he'll have one of those passport to leisure you can get when you're on esa, you get a quid off council stuff and your tickets to oakwell
He didn't swim at the International pool when he was at Leeds. Like his efforts with the team he would have been out of his depth. Do you think the only reason he went there was because with the way it was panning out for him at Oakwell, he would have been sacked anyway. ?
Why would anyone in Barnsley have any issue with him? He had all his team sold from under him & he spent months telling everybody what system he wanted to play & what type’s of player he wanted for that system & didn’t get them. The only reason anyone expected him to stay was because he was from the town.
Bloke leaves a job for a better paid job with better prospects , bloke gets sack from new job . The end !
I haven't a problem with him going for more money but all the players we signed in January he had an input into ,then he left in a somewhat disagreeable manner but that's then . Speaking to a few Leeds season tickets holders I know you can't underestimate how badly that interview went down ,that Hecky did about being a Barnsley fan playing against Leeds kids as a boy , went down like a lead balloon with Leeds fans. He'd lost them before he started but I think he knew he wasn't going to last very long, shame he decimated our backroom staff in the process
Wrong !!!!!! Bloke leaves secure job to move to a highly insecure job with less prospects (relatively poor owner). As predicted bloke gets sack after just a few months. So why should bloke leave first job??? And no one spoke to him while in the pool ??? No one asked him why he moved ??? I know someone that would have definitely asked him.
He was relaxed and spending time with his children... I wanted to ask him but didn't know how to approach it... If i see him there again I will ask... apparently he's one of the favourites for the Doncaster job.
You did right not to approach him , if he was with his family, then people should respect the moment & leave him & his family to enjoy their pastime
Agree on the highly insecure job point, but: - it pays more money. - Leeds are a bigger club whether you like it or not. More fans, more revenue. - wealth of owner is immaterial- FFP and all that- I know you struggle to grasp this. Bill Gates could buy Stalybridge tomorrow- doesn't make them bigger than Manchester United does it? - we were hovering above the relegation zone just before he left, Leeds had a chance to make the playoffs.
