    starting to look very good.
If we win the group and win our second round match, we then meet Brazil in the quarters, if they beat Mexico. I think.
Hate to say it, but we need to come second.

Good going forward but very flimsy at the back. Serbia should have scored a couple at 1-0, and they left huge gaps against Costa Rica which a better side would have exploited. I think we'd have every chance of beating them.

If we avoid them, we would meet them in the final anyway where they might be unbeatable. Better off taking care of them in the quarters.

I agree. I'd prefer to avoid them but I don't think we need fear them if our paths cross in the quarter finals.

Looking at it 2nd gives us the better route so I wouldn't be too downhearted if we lost tomorrow.... Should we win and get a trickier route through and go out Southgate is going to take some stick.

I'd be more concerned with avoiding Columbia in the next round tbh. They looked superb against Poland on Sunday, though Poland were very disappointing so maybe it's a bit hard to judge. It's wide open right now. Anyone who's got through the group stages will fancy themselves to get to at least the semi.

Sooner rather than later for me. By the final ( if they get there) they’ll have got their act together.

Me too , no outstanding sides in this competition and Brazil are not convincing me they’re any good . Got a sneaky feeling for France if they decide to turn up !

Nonsense. No team should ever go into a game wanting to lose and we wont. People need to be careful what they wish for. Finish second and we could play Colombia next. Who look decent. Were talking as if we win world cups all the time and we can afford to choose who we wanr. Our record is abysmal recently, we need to just keep winning.

Would you rather lose to Brazil or say Denmark in the quarters?

It's not nonsense.... I'm not saying we should look to finish second because I don't think we should but the draw would look more favourable if we did.

Belgium are making changes tonight and I'm expecting is to as well so we will see what happens

Lets get these big sides early. None have stood out yet as great and we have real pace that could hurt teams if they leave gaps for counter. Pressure will be on a side like Brazil to beat us too so we would go in as under dogs. Rather do that than play a smaller so called easier team, where the pressure would be on us to win and where the opposition will sit back and try and frustrate us like what Tunisia did.
