Due to unpaid wages. Refusing to play in today’s friendly against St Mirren Galling really when you think about what happened on the last day of last season. How do they keep getting away with it?

If clubs fail to pay wages the players should be entitled to walk away and sign new contracts with other clubs, but they never seem to, are they contractually not allowed?
Seems to me clubs use not paying Players as a buffer to buy themselves more time. Which is disgusting abuse of power and players unions etc should me acting on this type of thing to stop it.

...and thats before they start owing win bonuses and first team bonuses. I was convinced they were signing players under a transfer embargo last season but it doesn't matter. The authorities don't care. We could list many many examples of teams cheating the financial fair play rules where little or nothing is done.

they got lucky selling Madine in Jan for 6 million otherwise they would have struggled to finish the season

The EFL should step in now and say sort yourselves out or it's automatic relegation to L2. Barnsley are then reinstated to the Champ and the play off losers from L2 step up to L1

    Fantasy Island - I know :)

Plenty of examples of teams falling a lot further after going bust. Where are Newport or Aldershot now? And Accrington took decades to get back to the league (evenRangers had to start again at the bottom)

Birmingham have also had a transfer embargo imposed on them. It seems Barnsley and Burton were the only teams in the relegation equation who were adhering to the rules.

It looks like all the players had been paid their salaries. The reason they downed tools, was because Ben Amos hadn't received his contractual bonuses, and with it not being the first time the chairman had picked and chose who he wanted to pay, they have sent him a message saying that they weren't putting up with it.

Can I ask. Did the Bolton players actually not play. Was the game not played then?
