accrington stanley want 2 million plus from ipswich to sign him?!? another windfall coming our way perhaps??
Yes we will have sumat come r way if he goes. But... what gets me is if Jackson is going for 2m then what the fck was the bids for Bradders all abart?
I think he will too mate but if a club offered 2.5million for a player with 6 months left we wouldn't of played him so he didn't get injured. I think We would accept 2.5million for Bradshaw.
We let him go for a small fee plus a 45% sell on is what I seem to remember. I could be wrong. But I doubt he’ll go for much more than £1m and even then that will be based on add ons. Accrington owner just waiting to see how high the price will go. Deadline day deal probably.
Why would we ? If Jackson is going for that money then what is it going to cost us to replace Bradshaw with a player of similar quality ?
If kayden jackson goes for 2 million I must be worth about 150k. Maybe I'm wrong we may turn 2.5 million down for bradders I hope he stays personally.
Exactly , my point is it would cost us more than 2.5 to replace him with a player of similar ability , therefore it is pointless
I agree but i don't think Accrington will get 2 million for Jackson they might give it big one but they will crumble at 1million I reckon.
Chill, Bradshaw is staying here to score 23 goals this season. If Millwall want to fight over him, I suggest they try a bit harder .
What about we pay a million, get 500k back and then sell him for 1.5 million in January. Spend that million on Stevie Mallen, get 200k back and then go in for John stones. The plan at its best
Can you explain to me then , if Jackson is valued as reported & assuming Bradshaw must me in the same price bracket , how would you replace him with a proven striker of similar ability & experience of Bradshaw without having to pay out a similar fee & I know people will say that we can use the loan market but surely having a player like Bradshaw still under contract is a better option .
There's lot's of different factors to consider though. For example, we would not want to sell Bradshaw on the cheap because we are financially quite stable and have ambitions to get promoted. Therefore we may want to hold out for 2.5 mil (as others have suggested - personally think that's unrealistic). However, other clubs may be willing to sell strikers of a similar ability due to various reasons. For example, Chaplin, who I believe would be a better option than Bradshaw and has much greater potential, would be available for cheaper. Other good league one strikers have also recently moved for less than 2 million (e.g. Doyle, Wyke, Mcnulty, Armstrong). We paid around half a million for Dougall and on early evidence there will be a lot worse midfielders being sold for a lot more.
I respect your opinion but how can you say that Chaplin is a better option than Bradshaw ? . Bradshaw is a proven Championship player , whilst Chaplin is at best potential , we do not want potential at this point , we need someone who can do the job at this level now & the fact that Chaplin could not get off the bench for Pompy last saturday should tell you something . I maintain that Bradshaw is the finished article at this level & if you sell him , we need someone who is proven to replace him but there is no need, we have that player now in Bradshaw , no need to sell & create a problem for ourselves .
