I've not seen any proof yet, but the same thing applies to coriander at least. I love it, the wife thinks it tastes of soap (a few people have also said that).
Make sense. Sprouts are a proper veg and Barnsley is a proper town,. I love sprouts, they're my favourite veg. I've never understood why so many folk dislike them. I can't even begin to contemplate Xmas dinner without sprouts.
As mentioned a few times above - it looks like genetics are to blame. I can taste a chemical in sprouts that is disgusting to me. Nothing can disguise the taste or make it palatable.
I hated broccoli and called it the devil's privet hedge. I'm actually eating some and enjoying it now in a cauliflower cheese.

I've heard that from people too, that it tastes of soap. I've obviously argued with them about it while at the same time putting forward the case for having a genetic aversion to sprouts. I think it's because I'm a dick.
Someone asked me if it was possible.to write a sentence without naming a vegetable. I said not nececelery.
Love sprouts but only in winter....any other time of year is just not natural. My mother hates them but will be putting them on for Christmas next week to make sure they are cooked
