It doesn't have to be either or. They should be doing both things. Look at the product description on that page though...
Hopefully next season they do, as I can't see it being a late arrival for this season. If they brought out every fan idea though the club shop wouldn't have the space. We have the usual issues of stock arriving too late and selling out too quickly. But if they keep listening to fan feedback I reckon we could take more merchandise revenue this season in a lower league, than last season.
And while I'm moaning about the online shop it's pathetic that quite a lot of the products have no photos and are instead represented by crude drawings that look terrible
So you think it's a good thing that someone who really did save club, and another who not only gave us our two best ever seasons but also rebuilt the stadium, are not included? Up to you what you think but I don't think that's very good.
Well put. You forgot to mention he started the academy that post Dennis owners made money from due to players like John Stones being sold.
There's more than one reason to hope we win more than we lose this season. Unfortunately even when we draw the ignore button isn't enough to prevent the bitterness and bile permeating through.
Think of the size of connection you’d need to make it anywhere near fast enough for 12k fans logging onto it. No point in it - cost a fortune. A good 4G signal is all you need, and in most cases will be quicker than WiFi.
They've read this thread and changed it that's why. When I posted it it didn't describe the product and just said something along the lines of 'pre order now for delivery in June (or July)' despite us being halfway through August
Ah, I only saw it *after* the change and *still* thought that's what you were alluding to. 'Red cycling jersey' - it's a product description, I grant them, but I'd like a little more detail...
You would be right in that assumption but I find that I need to disable my 4G inside Oakwell. It just doesn't work, or if it does it takes an age. 3G, on the other hand, is fine. I suppose it's all down to how many are using the airwaves at the same time. Wi-Fi would be ideal but, as suggested, probably too expensive.
It’s capacity thing with 4G and 3G in the area. The same would occur with WiFi too - it’d cost so much to put in a system that wasn’t slow during peak times, it’d cost a fortune now, and ongoing. I have enough speed via 4G and 3G to do what I need - check scores and Facebook etc. That’s all you really need for 90mins at Oakwell.
Maybe it's just me who hasn't moved with the times, and I am by no means an 'old codger', but when there's a football match, which you've paid good money to watch, taking place right in front of your very eyes, why the need to sit tinkering on your phone?? I always think the same at music concerts, 50+ quid a ticket, yet when the lights dim, you can just see a sea of people on their phones. Can't stand em, killing society and people's ability to hold a good old face to face conversation. In A hundred years time, kids will be born with tiny mouths and massive thumbs as that's all folk seem to communicate with now days. That said... I'm here chipping in on an online forum as a faceless man hiding behind an ex players hair do so maybe I'm just as bad myself.
I couldn't actually make it but will find out. I did say I'd forward any ideas from here although he said he does read the BBS.
