Exactly this. We still have time to get a replacement lined up, albeit probably not before Saturday. I'm gutted he's going because I really liked him, and his recent efforts (despite knowing this deal might be close) has been fantastic. Good luck to him and I hope on a personal level it really works out for him. Time for us to bring in someone just as good or better.
Looking at the situation its not a footballing one as Millwall will be in a relegation scrap this year and why wouldnt he want to continue playing in a winning team scoring plenty of goals? Quite frankly I've seen enough of players who dont want to play with us for one reason or another and I say good riddance. I think he's been average this year and is easily replaceable. He doesnt win a great deal in the air and lacks pace which for me becomes a bigger factor the higher up the divisions you go. I think his goals for column flattered to deceive last year. Big Vic deserves his chance - he's scored more goals in a fifth of the game time, is quicker and offers more than Bradshaw. Lets give the academy lads a try as well - lets be fair if they cant make it in a team that performs well in league 1 then they might not be upto the job All in all if he wants to go let him go - 1.25m is nearly double what we paid for him and personally think we can buy better for the money IF we need to.
Looks like he was clearly pushing for a move & Millwall have upped their offer a bit, all be it a delayed deal. Agree timing isn't great, but if it allows us to bring in a couple of decent players on loan, it might not be all that bad. Let's see how it pans out. If we get no one in, we can all start bairning then.
Who do you think accepted the offer? It isn’t “GG”. The board agree to transfers in and out. And we’ve had lots of updates from the club. We had one an hour ago. Why are you insistent the CEO comments on every issue? A player is having a medical with Millwall. The club have recieved an acceptable bid for a player who wants to leave in the last year of his contract. We have players lined up. Imagine the CEO is busy finalising those deals. But you’d rather he stops what he’s doing to speak to you.
The timings crap I agree, but if we've held out for a decent fee and bring 2 or 3 in on loan then I'm not too fussed about losing a player that wants to leave. I'd have been more upset if it was big Kieffer going.
The way I read it, as the birth of his child approaches, he and his partner have decided they want to be together and not 200 miles apart. Is that him being unreasonable? Would it be reasonable for the Club to hold him to his contract and play an unhappy player?
Not really. It would have been worse to lose him in January. We're only four league games in and have time to get a loan deal.
one person dont make a team EVER if the guy dont want to be part of barnsleys revolution then i say ta ta let him go, time to shine victor
“Unacceptable “?? What ******. You have no idea what’s going on behind the scenes either with the club or with Bradshaw’s personal life. I take it that if you find this minor situation so hard to take you’ll not be going again. Right?
I love how some people think they can dictate a player's life to him. You have no idea what Bradshaw would do if a northern PL club came in or him. He's not good enough for a PL club anyway and if he was then Brighton, Palace or Fulham might have offered him a deal.
Seeing as you can read Bradshaw's mind can you please do the same for all the players and let us know who/when is next likely to go. Personal circumstances may change on a daily basis and unless you are a family member or close friend you are unlikely to know.
Spot on. Family comes first. Can't blame him for wanting to move. Just play Moncur, Potts and Thiam behind the big lad, with Mowatt and Dougall holding. Job done.
What are you talking about? Again, my only insight into what’s going on behind the scenes is this interview which is as I have already said unacceptable. No clue what that has to do with me “not going again”. But you’re right- should be a reyt fan like thee and applaud because something might or might not be happening behind the scenes- just like when hourihane and Winnall went, when people like you made the same arguments.
Very strong rumour that we are bringing Conor Chaplin in from Portsmouth and he is apparently very keen on the move.!
