It’s all ********, they all make out they weren’t wanted because they didn’t get offered a new contract but they didn’t get an offer because there agents were approached & the club wouldn’t / couldn’t get close

 

A lot of people don’t hate Winnall for leaving us they hate him for how he left.

There’s many questions I’d like to see him asked.

Ask him why staff at the club couldn’t stand him.

Ask him what he said to Linton Brown about what he thought of our fans.

Ask him if his agent was approached by us & a contract offer was never made as we couldn’t get anywhere near to what he wanted.

Ask him about leaking the photos from Hillsborough during Rimmo’s funeral when the club made it clear there’d be no social media activity that day.

I understand that every player that joins Barnsley wants to leave us eventually for more money & to play at a higher level if possible but there’s ways to go about it & he went about it all wrong. There’s no excuses he wasn’t a kid, it wasn’t his first transfer, he shouldn’t have been a **** basically.

Hated his celebration when he scored for Wednesday and the timing of his departure and I'm probably in a minority but I'd have him back tomorrow, best out and out striker we've had in years, great interview by the way, cheers

 

I'm very much in the camp that players move on and there's no point getting upset about that. For the money that was on offer I'd have gone and played for Wednesday so I have no gripe with Winnall for that at all.

However, score a goal, kiss the black armband and hold your finger to the sky on Saturday and then sign for them on the day of his funeral. No. Unforgivable, utterly disrespectful. Rest of the team at the funeral Sam getting photographed grinning with his new contract- disgusting.

It wasn't deadline day, there was no reason that deal HAD to happen that day. That is classless, disrespectful and why I have no respect for him and would never want to see him in the red of Barnsley again.

 

Ridiculous comment. People aren’t being immature at him leaving. People rightly dislike him due to:

• Forcing a move to a local rival
• Being the first card to leave, toppling the tower as the squad was dismantled
• Having a picture of himself leaked signing for Wednesday on the day of rimmos funeral, meaning that’s what a lot of people were talking about instead of a club legend
• Subsequently running half the length of the pitch to be a pound shop adebayor

If you don’t consider any of that absolutely pathetic and worthy of derision, I proffer that you are the one that needs to “grow up” because point 3 in particular goes well beyond football. Plenty of players come and go. He did it in the worst and most disrespectful way I’ve seen from our club and you do us a disservice to defend him.

 

I didn't like the way rat face left but it's a long time ago now and I don't have any feelings left now on the matter. In life you have to forget and move on, he's not relevant anymore and if you want to reflect on anything reflect back on his goals.

Having just got up, when I logged on and saw, [Official Site] Interview | Sam Winnall, I almost did a little wee in mi Y fronts as I thought we had resigned him

Lot of anger about how Sam left and fully understandable, but if we did get him back (we wont ofc) and he scored 20 goals to help us back up 99.9% of us wouldn't give a flying **** what went off before.

 

Basically hourihane made winnall look half decent, with the service he gave him. When that was taken away from him it showed him for what he is..bang average and classless

 

Wonder if they’re testing the water for his return...

Seems very odd to have an interview with sammy the snake .

Although he’d need to have a massive pay cut. And be ready to get boo’d week in week out. Plus he’s now an injury doubt...

I think the interview is in bad taste, no need to have that piggy anywhere near Barnsley FC, especially paying him for an interview!

 

This man leaked a photo of him signing for our local rivals on the day or Rimmo's funeral after three days beforehand scoring for us, touching his black armband and looking to the heavens.

The pillerks, he's sat there on a 4 year contract draining their club of 18k a week whilst they're skint. He'll probably go out on loan again if they can get a club to pay a percentage.
