Yes, i can only keep repeating that I hate those as much. You won't find a single post from me defending them. You will however find many slating them.

Out of all the problems, that one was there since before Brexit.

Whilst I agree, it’s never been this obvious that they can’t agree on, or do anything productive... in fact they are losing relevance imo.

Only a matter of time before they're replaced by a Virtual Politician app. Download to your phone and you can have a hand in running the country. I doubt it could be any worse than the existing shambles.

I find that instead of spending hours worrying about circumstances that may or may not happen I tend to just get on with it. Rightly or wrongly, the leave campaign ‘won’, it’s happening, get on with it.

I love it when May says that if we were to have a second referendum people would lose their faith in politicians. The tiny bit I had left disappeared when Cameron initiated the process, for purely selfish reasons, that has put the country in the mess it's now in.

We've plotted a course, have since we've gone underway seen the massive iceberg that we are going to hit, but the course was plotted, we've decided to go that way, so we'll just have to hit it ... Don't we?

Or, you've made an offer on a house and you get the surveyor's report. Unfortunately it needs a new roof, full re-wire, there's rats in the loft and rising damp. On top of that, the Estate Agent told you a pack of lies about it being freehold and the search reveals they plan to build a motorway at the bottom of your drive. But sod it, we'll buy it anyway. Will of the people etc.

    As a side issue.

There was a referendum in macedonia over changing the name of the country in order to speed up the process of joining the Eu.
Its being championed as a success by the Eu bigwigs
Under macedonia law the referendums going to be rejected due to about 30% turnout.

I love how you earlier criticised people for wasting their time debating it yet take up your own time criticising people for debating it, and then come out with an unneccesary statement like this that comes across as a bit confrontational.

It affects all of us, whether we can change it or not. We may get a 2nd referendum. If an asteroid was heading for earth in your logic nobody should speak about it. Life isn't like that.

If you don't wish to discuss it avoid threads like this, simple.

Personally, I'm learning German and investing my time in updating my professional qualifications to make it easier for me to leave the country if I need to - with German I can work in an additional 3-4 countries (Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland) plus Ireland (although Dublin is expensive and going to get worse). Working for a multinational gives me at least the possibility of moving internally rather than applying for a new company. For family reason I don't want to relocate to another continent but that is a possibility if necessary.

The key things that will impact me personally are travel to Europe (who knows if initial restrictions, sentiments, costs, direct and through weakening pound) and trade.

Everyone will be impacted by the initial confidence shock as companies carry out their warnings in terms of movement of premises, reduction in workforces and the increased costs they'll be faced with and have to pass on or save elsewhere. Everyone is likely to feel a recession that ensues and everyone will feel a fall in property prices.

I'm lucky in many ways so i'm currently protected from some of those impacts, but I certainly wouldn't welcome jumps in prices of all products and naturally, people (me included) will reign in spending if prices jump by 5-20% in most cases, even though many staple costs have jumped considerably in the last 12 months anyway.

The bottom line is.. even if our MPs are ***** or corrupt.. we have the chance to get rid of em even if it is only every five years.
As apposed to being ruled by unelected and Unremovable puppets of the elite..
