This isn't in any way slagging him off. He's been very effective this season. It's just we can now drop the Potts means points thing. It bugged the hell out of me. That's no reflection on him, it's just that we had a so called lucky talisman who was a virtual ever present last season and I can't remember us ever losing so many matches. That wasn't his fault, the whole team weren't good enough, but Potts didn't mean points. It meant an almost complete absence of them!
Potts missed 9 leagues last season so he did play a lot. I've posted it a few times as I found a fun stat rather than read too much into it. I agree it made little difference last year as we awful. The stats aside we have missed him this last couple of weeks so glad to see him back in the squad. Probably didn't want to rush him back in but I think the physical nature of today's game would have been perfect for him.
Barmy innit. Last year he were ***** when we played and won (rare) now hes ace when he dunt play and win. I love this forum, and this club. COYR for ever
I thought he was OK last season to be honest. He is one of our most effective players going forward. Good to see Thiam & Brown get goals today though.
We have played our best football with him in team this season. We have definitely missed him since he's been injured. Id get him back in team as soon as he's fit enough. Bahre just doesn't look up to it so far. Dint go yesterday but He was awful at Coventry.....
I think it always takes midfielders longer to fit into the system of the team. They need to know what type of runs players typically make & how they like balls played to them. A lot of our best midfielders over time have made shaky starts. I remember Danny Wilson looking awful in his first few games.
