Don’t rate him. He was really good at the start of the season but has failed to impress me since. He doesn’t take a man on down the line, always cuts inside & runs across the pitch diagonally & leaves us wide open when he more often than not loses it.

He has a touch as bad as Darren Moore too. He only plays because he’s our only recognised right back.

Never for a second thought that Davies' challenge was a pen. He clearly punched the ball away. Dimi's probably was but might have got away with it if it wasn't for the fact that the ref had just (correctly in my opinion) waved away claims for a pen a few seconds before and their fans were up in arms.

He’s not our only recognised right back as we have Jordan Williams. We also had Jason McCarthy who got sold because Cavare was better.

I think Cavare has his strengths and his weaknesses just like all of our players but I don’t think there will be many better right backs in the division this season.

If he did, it's not clear. Watched the highlights a number of times last night and this morning and I never once thought Davies had got near it. I just thought he wiped their player out. Having read your post I've gone back and watched it again several times and actually he might have got the ball, but I can't be sure.

I've just watched the Youtube video again on 0.25 speed. Davies gets the ball easily and I'm now certain that Dimi's was a pen and the ref made the correct decision. He never even went for the ball, their player may have made a meal of it but his foot was there for the guy to fall over.

Just watched it another 5 times and actually unsure now for the first time haha. Either way, they definitely deserved the pen.

I never knew you could do that, what a brilliant feature, thank you. I'm now going to use it to watch Potts' 2nd goal. It was deflected off someone, I thought at time (live at the match) that it was Brown. Detailed analysis coming up...……..

Nope, it was one of their lads.

By the way, did you leave the sound on when watching the video at 0.25 speed? The crowd noise sounds like a huge swarm of bees having a disco, or 500 sat nav voices all speaking at the same time.

Just done the same. Their forward gets to the ball first, it then may have hit Davies' finger tips, or it may have gone past them, but because of the frame rate of the video and the short distance travelled between the striker's foot and the keeper's hands I can't tell if the ball slowed down or changed direction. It may well have done, but I couldn't say for certain. Ref should have been able to tell from his angle and he didn't give it which would suggest you're right.

Top bloke is Dimi. I've exchanged a couple of tweets with him. When he first
signed for us , in keeping with every signing we make, I welcomed him to Oakwell
and hoped he could settle in the area and quickly command a place in the team.
He responded right away. The only other player to reply to one of my complimentary
    messages was George Moncur.

My main issue with Cavare is the end result - his crosses are woeful (& yes, I note his assists) - he’s giving away too many soft penalties

Cavare is the best right back in the league and with his size and pace he stands out, when he plays well we play well. He terrifies opposing teams we should be pleased to have him and he will end up leaving for a decent fee if he stays in contact.

He put two on a plate in the first half against Plymouth. Didn’t go yesterday so can’t comment on how his crossing may have been.

The challenge we did a few seconds beforehand looked more of a penalty. But the ref didn't give it them and maybe regretted it, so gave the tamer challenge.

Davies 100% got the ball on second viewing - their lad kicked it on to his hand

Really don’t think the second was a pen. Looked a cynical dive to me.
