according to radio deedah's 3'o'clock news we can get a 'keeper in for Saturday, if we do I hope he's as good as the last one we got at short notice
The only thing that scares me is that we got an emergency goalie a number of years ago for an away match at Brighton - the nearest we could park was 2 miles away (no parking except for buses even though the ground is in the middle nowhere) - watched us play a Spanish (I think) goalie who couldn’t have been a goalie - he didn’t use his hands at all & stopped nothing at all - we got hammered & we wasted a lot of money
Someone maybe like Jonathan Bond at West Brom.. 3rd choice there I think but has played at this level before.
Cheers, it was indeed! I’d have scored against the useless chuff! (64 & 2 replacements knees! On a positive note, I wouldn’t be able to kick it over the bar!)
I see that Wycombe have signed a keeper on an emergency loan https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46224296 but is it a viable opportunity to give Greatorex a chance. His confidence would be boosted no end, and I think he would give his all for cause too. Is he up to the opportunity.
