Repeating remoaner? I doubt mentioning the words remoaner amounts to abuse. It's called a figure of speech at someone who moans about the result of the referendum and can't accept that democratic decision.

Those who voted Brexit are known as hoof wangling bunglecocks in some circles but I prefer not to call them that.

No its not. Whether you are ignorant or aware of its true intent is a different issue. Like many casual denigrations, its intent is to undermine and belittle a view and opinion. Often when more detailed debate is discouraged.

You voted leave. You're a leaver. I voted remain. I'm a remainer. It's pretty simple without stooping to derogatory condescending wording.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Exactly, so remove your comment labelling me as an abuser and that I should leave the country.

If after the vote and the remainers said right let’s all pull together and get a good deal for the country this could have been done and dusted ages ago.But no,we had marches, those dickheads in government who we voted in fighting amongst themselves, and all it did was to give Barnier all the ammunition he wanted,he must have been rubbing his hands and saying we can screw this lot over.So if Accy beat us on Saturday let’s have a referendum because we don’t like the result. And If by any chance there is another vote and the remainers win does anybody really think that will be that,I don’t think so.What a load of ******** all this is.

Don't have a referendum. Let Parliament have a free vote. That's supposed to be the reason we elect them.

How is that exactly - The Tories sent brexiteers to negotiate in a small team - even leave tories are divided over what they want
The EU has maintained a consistent position - and the Brexiteers found that their optimism that the EU would fall over to give us a good deal was misplaced.

There is no good deal if you want to leave the customs union and maintain the Irish good Friday agreement - the 2 are mutually exclusive
Also there is no way the EU would ever give us a free trade deal without strings attached - neither will the USA

In any case I have always believed that leaving the EU and in particular the Customs union is bad for the country how can I possibly pull together with people to try and acheive something that I think is as a bad target

You may as well say we should all get fully behind all tory policies and never campain against them because they won an election

Well Farnham it’s like football teams,we all love to pull them down and say some players are crap, but what do we do, we still go and watch them which to me is everybody pulling together. And what makes you or anybody else think we could not get what we wanted ,we will never know because all they had to do was sit there and laugh at what was going off over here.I still say if everybody had stuck together we would have got a good deal.

A second referendum is not just about not liking the result.

Nobody who voted leave knew what it would look like at the end result- if you knew the exact terms then can I have your lottery numbers? So I feel we should give both parties the chance to vote again. It is too important to just accept outright.

I think this situation cannot be compared to anything else really. You vote for a party in an election based on their manifesto which they should stick to and you have a good idea of what is going to happen and how it will affect you personally. With Brexit, neither the UK Govt nor the EU knew what this would look like and we still don't know now!

We are in such a mess.

If we end up on WTO rules we are set for the biggest recession in post war history. This is fact. The government's own forecasts say this. Of course the rich 1% of this country that Rees-Mogg, Raab & Boris are on the payroll of don't give a **** about that.

The problem is, the deal on the table is going to give us a situation where we have given up any say in the club we are in, but we are still bound by the rules. Where is Farage & the likes that started this debate?

Difficult to find a solution, but I'd say a general election would be a good start. If Labour win, I think they would be able to get better terms, as they are not hamstrung by these morons. If they don't win, then Boris or Rees-Mogg can take us to oblivion. Maybe they can join in f-ing a pigs head with Cameron & Osborne to celebrate destroying hard working people.

    No they're not.

According to the article below from the Irish Press.
    https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/...nues-to-show-a-tin-ear-to-the-north-1.3674167

. "But the Taoiseach could deconstruct the possibility of violence. He could be clear, for example, that Brexit may affect the Belfast Agreement but does not breach it, and that nobody envisages new passport controls, road closures or routine queues for motorists under any circumstances –"

It's like planting a tree 45 years ago and expecting to be able to unpick the roots all in one go. The alternative is to chop the tree away which kills the tree.

I would say to the first point (and I'm not arguing in favour of WTO) that it's not fact, and leaning on the Govt's own figures is pointless....they haven't got a prediction right yet.

To the second point...this deal is only the withdrawal agreement, not the future trading arrangement.

This is from someone who is actually in favour of leaving the EU - though not on the terms of the current deal

We could have got a better deal if we had followed a different path - it wasnt remainers that triggered article 50 with no clear plan
it wasnt remainers that negotiated with Europe

Dont think you can blame me or others for the current mess because I am not having it anymore than I am to blame for Universal credit being introduced badly because I didnt support it

If half of our small to middle sized companies have gone out of business, who gives a **** about that?

Not one economist is forecasting a good result from a no deal situation. It's like an astronomer claiming that the earth is flat.
If I drive my car off a cliff I will fall a long way. My car won't get through it's MOT & I may not need to worry.
