Going to be a cracking atmosphere. It's a shame our fans who want to go can't get a ticket when their ends won't be full. I wonder if we were given the option of taking the whole stand but didn't think we'd sell it so didn't want to be out of pocket.
They split that away end now with Burnley fans having a 'singing section' of sorts next to the away fans. I'm presuming keeping this area for their own fans is seen as more important than increasing our allocation and I can understand that. It's still a good following though considering the impressive numbers also going to Luton. Keeping any eye on Wimbledon tickets now as I'm sure they'll go very quickly and the train is booked!
Attendances at cup games are normally half league gates.. so im betting the ground will be half empty, so I just can't see why the restriction.
Wasn’t there a rule that a certain percentage of capacity has to be given to away teams in the FA Cup, as long as there are no issues with segregation ?
Is I believe 15% minimum (22000 capacity @ 15% = 3300) unless police instructions re segregation issues. Got a ticket. But unless Barnsley didn't request a higher allocation , Then Burnley should be brought to task. The away end holds 4000+. **** when you consider it's been segregated 2400+ away. 1600+ home. No way will they need that allocation.
Agreed! The ground is smaller than Oakwell but there a thousands of unsold seats all over the stadium.
