What's happened to him looked like he was fit made a sub apperance and then done another dissapering act. Does stendel not rate him? Is he injured again? His he permanently injured and was never fit? Will he leave in January?.........
Unfortunately he has been plagued with injuries and for me we must look to offload and seek a better replacement.
I was told at the Charlton game that he got injured in training after his sub appearance against Portsmouth. I don't know how accurate the information is however.
How can you off load him.. no one would take him. One of the drawbacks with giving longer contracts. Unless their offered a better alternative then they just stay around.
Would offload if we could but like said who would want a player who is made of glass. I was really pleased when he signed but has been injured 85% of the time shame as he would fit stendels system and develop into a good player but he isn't developing on the treatment table.
I don't think he will leave in January as no other club would currently sign him given his injury record. It must be so frustrating for both the club and player but look at his age and number of games played and unfortunately he's just never been fit for a prolonged period. Maybe his body isn't robust enough to play professional football. Isgrove himself must be worried that his league career could be over if he doesnt soon start playing on a consistent basis. IMO the club will give him the rest of the season to see what he can do. However, If he only makes a couple of cameo appearances here and there then I expect BFC to agree a settlement package and terminate the remaining 12 months of his contract. It's a difficult decision as to where you draw the line, given the FFP restrictions we can't keep paying someone to sit in the treatment room when wages could be paid to another player who could contribute and offer competition for places...
I reckon he's probably just out of favour as Stendel doesn't like wingers, as shown by getting shut of Hammill, the formations we play and players we sign.
Don’t think many are. It’s just like in any situation there will be a smattering of people with a slightly nauseating opinion. The lad will be gutted he can’t do the thing he loves, and the one thing he’s really trained to do. In a career that at best has 5 years of decent wage left for him if he stayed injury free. If he’s fit I’m sure Stendel would like to use him. That goal at WBA pre season made me think it would be a good year for him. Still hope it works out and he can get fit.
I thought Stendel wanted to keep him, but the powers that be didn't want to keep an ageing player around as it didn't fit the profile.
I don't think it's callous for people to say if he doesn't get fit we should try offload. We cannot afford to be paying players who are always injured and Lloyd I'd imagine is a decent earner. We won't forget the part he played to get us promoted but we can't show too much sentiment.
He needs to go out on loan for the second half of the season to build up his strength fitness and confidence
Highlights the problem with young players being swallowed up in premier league academies and not getting enough game time to toughen their bodies. The Ryan Williams syndrome. Like Ryan it wouldn’t surprise me to see him a regular starter for his next club.
