    Me he's been excellent for the most of the season and getting a replacement in is not guarantee they will be as good and at the very least it will likely take time to get someone up to speed.

    He said earlier it was unlikely as we were holding out for a big fee and Preston wouldn't match it.

    I do. I would much rather he stays and we add a player to support our push.

    I’ve just heard from a Preston fan who really should know what’s going on that it’s a formality that Potts will sign for them. Had a medical today he said.

    Still hoping it doesn’t go through. But sounds like it will.

    Hope we get a really good fee for him, and have a couple of cracking players to lift the mood lined up. Very different losing one of our mainstays to losing some fringe players.

    Can’t see Stendel being happy with this.

    Me - and I did slate him at times last season but is a top player for us now. The proof in the pudding is how much we missed him when he was out injured.

    Will have to wait and see. I’m really struggling to see how this can be good business. Fee of £1.5m? Sounds clinically insane to sell someone so important for that but turn a similar figure down for Mama. Not that I would sell Mama, but to sell Potts for so little given his value.

    I’ll go as far as to say Potts is our most important player. For me he sets the tempo for the whole team and when he’s on form the team is on form.

    He is contracted untill 2020 with the option of a further year so the fee should be high. Someone on here reported he was at oakwell today.

    Giddings reported it. However I have been told he was at Preston having a medical.

    Until confirmed by the club I will remain optimistic, however my instinct now says he’s close to going.
