...sorry if they are offended by that but it is just how I see it. They have NO idea of business or the thought processes behind the management and owners of BFC. They see doom and gloom at every turn inspite of the fact we have a retained a strong squad, capable of pressing for an automatic promotion place. We have signed Green, an exciting prospect who has already made two, albeit brief, appearances in the first team . What is the matter with some on here? It is becoming more doom and gloom each day. They say peoples' attitudes and views regarding external events is influenced by personal experiences. If that is true, some on here must have pretty shitty lives! Off to bed now and expect that when I log in tomorrow most of the first team will have been sold and we will have signed loads of non-league trainees, Oakwell land will also have been sold to Tesco for a supermarket / housing development and the team HQ will be setting up in a marquee next to Athersley Rec. Jeez!! Goodnight y'all!!
To be honest I agree with you mate. There are certain posters on here who revel in anything remotely seen as a negative, whether it be the sale of a player, staff leaving or dropping points. I don't feel the need to name them, we all know who they are. It would be nice if just now and again they would appreciate what supporting a small - ish town football club is all about.
Some people think other clubs don’t struggle to keep players or sell players, it’s the nature of the game...we’ve had a good window in my opinion
Use the ignore button. It’s fantastic now that I don’t have to read words from the resident doom merchant.
See Daniel Stendel says from what he's seen of him , he is going to include young Callum Styles in his first team plans in the future. Noticed his photo appears in the First Team listings, which is good because at one point, we thought he might have been loaned out to get further experience. I'm looking forward to seeing the lad play. Ex- colleague who supports the Shakers tells me that we've signed a great prospect.
I’ve been doom and gloom and happy clapper depending on how I personally felt at the time on the situation over many year. No doubt people have felt the exact opppsite at times, in summary better to try and talk about the facts as they present themselves and agree to disagree on what they are, and understand we all see the world differently. It’s a big ask I know.
Morning. I agree with your post. That is perfectly normal. Any fan of any sport, including myself, feels the highs and lows of supporting a team, especially one like BFC with the ups and downs. If we win or just play well it sets me up for a good Saturday evening. Howeve,r that is responding to what we see on the pitch and FACTS regarding what is happening on the management & financial side. My gripe with the handful of 'losers' as I see them, is the constant moaning, whinging, snide attacks on management based on rumour and gossip with absolutely no facts to support them. Getting excited and optimistic about rumours of a possible big signing or cash injection does not drag everyone down. but constant complaining creates a ripple effect and an atmosphere of doom and gloom which can spread even amongst the 'normal' fans. Whilst you can choose to ignore them on the BB the same cannot be said at matches. I cannot attend regularly these days living where I do, but on the rare occasions I have been over the last couple of years I have noticed that my mood reflect the fans that I have been sat near. Last game I attended in ESU (oft described as the NASA training centre i.e. no atmosphere) I was sat in front of a father and (adult) daughter combination who spent the entire 90 minutes 'slagging off' most of the team. They were like Stadtler and Waldorf ! Admittedly the game was pretty dire but I came away not having enjoyed it, mainly due to their constant sniping.
Ah! One of those I refer to,(albeit a bit borderline in your case). However, I note your medication must have kicked in as you seem to have posted something cheerful today.
To log in and call some people who’ve you’ve never met “losers” really says more about you than them.
Replace Barnsley football club with the EU and you have just worked out why so many people on here think you are a 'loser' with 'a shitty life' after you spent an entire year derailing every thread and spamming the board to cry and bitch and moan about how the big bad eu were possibly going to do bad things. The big difference is if somebody cries and moans about us weakening our team and putting a rich man's profits above the success of a sporting team the worst thing that can happen is that rich man gets a bit upset and sells the club to someone else. When you bitched and moaned constantly for a year the worst thing that could have happened is that a country ****** itself over Think of the irony in what you post next time before you run round trying to insult everyone you disagree with
Ah! proving my point!!. Shitty life? Nope Loser? 'Nope. Since you bring up the EU. This is a direct parallel with some people's attitudes towards the UK and BFC: Doom and gloom, bound to fail, when, in reality, no-one knows (not even 'experts') that medium to long term leave or remain is the best path, in exactly the same way as no one knows how the fortunes of BFC will pan out. You can roll with it or spend all your time constantly whinging about how disastrous everything will be. EU is in a mess, UK is in a mess in OR out. Short term, both will suffer. I've not bitched and moaned , merely countered, with facts and observations based on what is happening, some of the more ludicrous claims and assertion made on here by people based , again on guesswork. Clearly you are, one of the clique on here, happy to accept loads of posts about Brexit so long as they agree with your PoV but wish to close down anyone who counters those arguments. The overwhelming majority of my posts on the topic were responses to OPs started by others. I actually initiated very few. As regards "rich man's profits" that possibly indicates what side of the political divide you are coming from. Finally...…."insulting everyone you (I) disagree with"?? Really? Where have I said that? As regards " so many think...." have you conducted a poll on that? There are a small number of vocal political posters on here, who no doubt do think that but, frankly, I couldn't care less about them and based on what they post think as little of them as they do about me.
Sorry to say but calling somebody a looser because their opinion differs from your own doesn't make them loosers . it does however come across as self opinionated and blinkered to the situation...yes you might be chessed of with the attitude of some but surely your post makes you as bad as those you call Use the ignore button that's what it's there for...
