We'll see who's laughing next season George. Obviously just a bit of fun but if you can give it out you have to be able to take it back.
Bet he would have given pride of place to his winners medal if we'd pipped them. He'll be found out again. Can't carry a passenger in the Championship.
I doubt he'll feature much for them next season, unless he gets himself super fit and gets up and down. Championship is going to be much tougher for them and us without doubt, and you need 90 minute fitness.
No problem with George. 'Cept his dodgy hair choices & like, organised religion.. Just an average player, trying to earn a crust while his legs hold out..probably won't get a sniff in the championship. unlucky George!!
He’ll have two decent games next season, both against us otherwise he will be anonymous. He couldn’t hack it at Championship level last time. Clearly he’s a prize bellend living off his fathers name.
One of George’s best qualities is that he’s a top class shithouser. I wouldn’t expect anything other, and every reds fan that this has wound up would have loved it if one of our players had said the same thing in a similar scenario. He was sold by us because we didn’t think he was good enough and he’s scored goals that have won him a league title. I’d be giving it big licks to the team that had let me go as well
I don't get all the column inches this 'thick as pigsh!t' (he really is) bell-end gets on here. There's only two things that are relevant about him now:- 1) He doesn't play for my club; and 2) I'm ******* ecstatic about that.
His best game by far for us and possibly his only time where he performed for more than 5 minutes was Peterborough away. His sole motive appeared to be winding up their fans. At the time I thought how disrespectful to Peterborough who gave him a chance after he got his grandad to cry to heckinbottom that he couldn't get a game in front of conor hourihane at barnsley. And how disrespectful to us that he could only be bothered to try when there was a chance to wind Peterborough fans up. Never saw Christian values as being to do your best to wind up others but never mind
I thought that he left us, because he wouldn't sign the new Contract that he was offered, or I have I imagined that…? I think from what Paul Conway has said previously, that policy is set to continue in the future which makes sense really. It must be really frustrating for any Club when they bring a player in who they know might have a re-sale value and proceed to invest time and money in them, only for them to run their contract down and move elsewhere on a free. In his case, we did right to offload him, although in the games where he did get selected to start or when he featured as sub, truth to tell, he tried without being our stand out player. I believe against Luton at Oakwell, he came on and was pretty much involved up to the end of the game. I wonder if that might have been the one where the Luton management were impressed by his performance and " someone" had a word to checkout whether he would be up for a move to them.? Let him enjoy his five minutes of fame, he will I believe really struggle to nail down a regular place in the Hatters line up next season, which invariably means that he could well leave them because he's not getting the game time that he thought he would. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him ending up back at Colchester at some point in the future to tell you the truth.
George Moncur is clearly a bit of a knob. A gobshite and WUM who does things solely to his own end and if it suits him. He’s also stolen a living for quite a while, giving not nearly enough effort to go with his admittedly decent talent. But he’s only given them exactly what they wanted here - he’d hardly have gone down well if he’d said that Barnsley are a great side as well and he’s really happy both were promoted. Much as I’m delighted he’s off our books and think he’s an odious little git of a character, I don’t think he’s done too much wrong here. Fair play. You’d think though that he’d be happy for all his friends still at the club - if he actually had any.
Who cares. Move on. He may just have found his club. Cauley were quoted as ***** from fulham fans and bristol city fans..but hes ace. Crack on and forget about him, weve forgot about much worse.
