I thought itd be LOTR and I held back from watching it for about 3 seasons. Im not really into that wizardry ***** and haven't seen Harry Potter either. It's completely different. They couldve just got onto those massive eagle things and got rid of the ring. Waste of time!
Just finished watching it. I thought it was decent. I agree that the story arcs seemed to be rushing to end, but they have to end sometime right? Maybe it's because the episodes are slightly longer and we feel with only six we are getting cheated? But you must admit in the previous 7 seasons there were a fair few duff episodes to fill the time slot. I think we know where it's going to end up. Unless there is a mahoosive twist.
Dumb and dumber have ruined the story. Such bad writing, plot holes and plot armour. Wish I hadn't bothered after series 5. Gps, jet packs, totally ignoring what happened in previous episodes in order to get to a boring ending. I feel sorry for the cast and people who've worked so hard on scenery, costumes etc which have been second to none. I know , dragons etc but the story should at least be consistent with itself.
I cant resist posting this here - I thought the books were great and am slowly watching the series but still back on S3 at the moment but I have just seen this and its hilarious
I took me ages and a few false starts to watch it Mario, it just didn’t appeal to me at all but I’ve got to admit it’s bloody brilliant,
I blame Martin more than the two show runners. They've gone from adapting a story into writing shitty fan fiction as GRRM spends most of his time doing anything but finish the series. They didn't sign up to finish writing the thing - their shop was to use the source material to adapt to a TV show. Instead we've got two blokes who've clearly lost interest in the project because they're trying to tie up loads of loose ends themselves, doing the best they can to find an ending that pleases everyone. Which is impossible because everyone has their own different theories about their favourite characters, and when that character's outcome is different from what someone wanted, they lose their **** on Twitter or reddit. Having said all that, Cersei should have died the most horrible death ever. And as for the complaint about jetpacking? It was either that or watch lads move around Westeros doing nowt for episodes on end. And if you've read A Feast For Crows, you'd know that that is the most boring thing ever. Martin needs to get of his arse and get it all done. But I'd wager that as he's got that many loose ends to tie up, he has no idea how to end it.
People are brought back to life for a reason then they die again. Dondarrion had a purpose- to keep Aria alive, Jon Snow? Reckon he’s toast next week!!
