I really think that the style of football played in the Championship will suit Mike down to a tee, my prediction is that he will flourish next season: I stand by to be bumped next year :)

Excellent signing. Very good player in there and Daniel Stendel is the right man to bring it out. So pleased with BFC.

He seems genuinely delighted to be staying which for someone who has no previous connection with the town is so nice to see. Hope he enjoys a long and successful stay (obviously).

Ich kann flüssig Deutsch sprechen. His name is pronounced like "bearer" in English. As in "bearer of bad tidings" - the "h" is pretty much silent. Glaube mich, Ich bin ein Lehrer.

I'm just glad Stendel gave him the opportunity after a slow start to impress. Excellent signing.

Really pleased about this. I don't think we've seen anything like the best of him yet. Hope we can add players of a similar calibre.
It is also worth noting it did take time for him to settle into English football, so hopefully we don't bring loads of young players in from the continent,
expecting them to be first teamers straight away, or we will be in the situation we were in two years ago. Will be all about hanging on to likes of Pinnock, Lindsay, etc, if we can & adding a few to fill in the gaps. Hopefully the new owners will see that.

Said before I sometimes got the impression he looked bad at times was because his thought process was on a different level. The more they play together and learn, the better he will become

Yes, Danny Wilson looked shocking when he signed for us, but players around him were not anticipating his passes. As time went on things changed. I do think he needs to keep it more simple at times & not do as many flicks, but when they do come off they are a joy to watch. Not many players at Barnsley in recent times have had those skills, other than of course Hammill.
