    Absolutely annihilated Joshua.

    Wonderful to watch.

As I've said time and again, AJ cannot take punches in bunches.

The idea that he was better than Wilder and Fury was always amusing. But based on hype.

    Goodnight Eddie Hearn.

Unfortunately he was found out, it’s not even the fact he’s got a glass jaw, he just about loses every ounce of energy after he gets hit with a clean shot. He became a walking target after one decent hit.

    Tactically naive as well tonight.

The irony of not going for the mega fight and taking the money, which now looks like a million years away.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he retires.

He's exactly what Fury said he is - a weightlifter. Soon as he gets hit, he goes.

He looks the part, Ruiz the complete opposite. But only one boxer/fighter in there tonight.

I apologise by the way, for spoiling this fight for those who didn't watch live. My bad.

Well done to him, at the weigh in when I first saw him I thought he had won a raffle to fight Joshua, as the saying goes never judge a book by its cover, it's been a poor division for 20 odd years IMO, but still you can only fight whats in front of you

Wonderful news to wake up to, the cash cow and casuals dream is beaten. Eddie Hearn left to regret not making the big fights now.

Only one heavyweight world champion has ever retired undefeated - Rocky Marciano.
Predict a fighter will lose every bout and eventually one of those predictions will be right. But if you're wrong 22 times out of 23, does that make you right?

He was tactically naive having put Ruiz down and got caught going in for the kill.

He’s shown great powers of recovery in previous fights but not this time.

Far from finished and I expect him to win the re-match when, hopefully, those who have been avoiding him might now pluck up the courage to give it a go.

Massive shock. Emphatic win for Ruiz that will change his life and those of his
five kids forever. He only took the fight 6 weeks ago and the tickets apparently
still had the name of AJ's original opponent Farrell Miller on them.

Joshua was a twenty five to one on shot to win. Shocked to the core.?
He can forget Wilder and Fury for now. Eddie Hearn is trying to negotiate a
re-match to take place in London in November/December. Stating the obvious,
but to retain any credibility, Joshua must win that, or it might be time for him
    to call it a day.

Wilder, Fury, Joshua - every heavyweight around has been one more punch from oblivion. That's how it is.

To suggest otherwise, and in particular to suggest Joshua would not be able to beat either Wilder or Fury, is amusing.

It only takes the right punch.

He’s never been this big monster who wrecks everyone in front of him like he’s been made out to be.

He’s been stopped in the amateurs, he lost his first Olympic fight but got the decision, the final could’ve gone either way. He was been outboxed by both Wlad & Povetkin who were both several years past their best but still last nights a huge upset. I knew he was beatable but after seeing Ruiz against Parker I didn’t think he had a shot of pulling the upset off.

I personally don’t think Joshua will ever be the same fighter again, I can see him having similarities to David Price who was never the same after Tony Thompson upset him. Hope I’m wrong though.

What is gutting is we’ll never have an unbeaten Joshua fighting either an unbeaten Wilder or Fury. That would’ve been incredible. Especially Joshua against Wilder & the whole tension worldwide at the first bell.

Ruiz looked like a bloke that had walked out of Goldthorpe WMC on a Sunday afternoon. The heavyweights around at the minute are shocking.

Agree with many on here,,the hype is now the thing....there are too many governing bodies with too many belts, linked to this the TV companies and individual promoters who serve only their own interests and not the interest of the sport have ruined boxing for the last 20 years.
Top 2 or 3 guys in a division should not be able to sign to fight anybody else. Eg Joshua fighting this guy a, Wilder fighting Brezeale and Fury in wi this German bloke who most of us never heard of, not just the heavies at this it's common in all weights.

I watched the fight live and i can honestly say I am really shocked and disappointed with Joshua. All credit to Ruiz as i underestimated him and thought joshua would batter him around the ring as ruiz looked overweight, but it just goes to show and prove just how wrong i was.

I mean from what i saw joshua looked like he couldn't be bothered to fight from start to finish (especially at the end) and didn't want to be their, be world heavyweight champion anymore , like he couldn't handle the pressure and maybe all the fame and fortune that comes with being the world HeavyWeight champion , maybe that as all got to him, then again i could be very wrong about all of that.

Joshua threw sluggish slow jabs and hooks / crosses that was getting easily counted and was leaving himself open very easily to get hammered by Ruiz that's mainly what Joshua was doing most of the fight , plus he didnt have his hands up blocking shots. Joshua made himself look like a easy target and it was almost like he had no answer for ruiz and his punches.

I personally think Joshua thought he was going to win when he first knocked Ruiz down to the canvas and was stunned that ruiz got up from the first knocked down of the fight. I think Joshua was expecting it to be all over there and then, but that didnt happen. When ruiz got up of the canvas it was like it made him a much stronger fighter and tables were turned , from their Joshua looked completely gone especially after he was rocked and knocked down for the second time in the fight.

I knew when watching the fight that the second time Joshua hit the canvas in round three, that was it , game over , their was definitely no coming back for him and i feared for him , his world HeavyWeight titles and probably most of all his undefeated streak, but a massive congratulations and credit to Ruiz , he took advantage of joshua (even though he wasn't at his best) and rightfully is world HeavyWeight champion.

Apologies to you all for me rambling on , but honestly that's what I think anyway. If you can watch the reply of the whole fight for yourself somewhere , somehow then please do and you will probably see what i mean.
