Aye it would’ve been brilliant news if it was true, but sadly he’s off. Doesn’t necessarily mean a thing but Lindsay is now following Stoke City on Twitter apparently, so I expect his transfer will be confirmed within the next few days.

If it is accurate, the attached article published on Tuesday, says that Lindsay is due for a medical at Stoke shortly. For me, if he'd have been staying, like Jacob Brown, Cauley Woodrow and Cameron McGeehan, he surely would have signed his new offer before now.? Looks very much as though he could be going. If he does, only time will tell if he's made the right decision. Stoke have got a number of fairly high profile experienced defenders, so he might have to bide his time to establish himself in the team. Having said that, some are now knocking on in age, so who knows.? Cos he's been rubbish for us every single game he's ever played .... he never gives his all ... somehow he's managed to be part of the most successful defence in the league last year (unbelievably lucky) ... constantly slagging the club & fans off on social media or any interview he gives. Been openly begging in the media for someone to come and take him away. It's got to be for those reason surely? Its definitely not because some people are childish and for some reason feel that anyone who plays for Barnsley should never want to play anywhere else again, regardless of opportunity or salary or personal reasons . That much I do know.
I’ve got no issue with it at all me. If Lindsay turned round to us a few games into the season demanding a transfer giving us little time to get a replacement I’d be pissed off but if he wants out then he’s going about it the best way for himself & both clubs. Get the move done early gives himself a full pre-season & gives us the chance to get a replacement in who can have a full pre-season with us. I wish him well, played consistently well for us for two years & we’re making a decent profit on him. Good luck to him except against us
