All well and good Orsen but if they really are"ordinary concerned folks"why did they feel the need to send the recording to the Guardian for an 'exclusive'?

No I don’t believe someone having an argument (potentially) is such big news.
There’s much more serious stuff going on in the world than someone shouting at someone.
It’s nothing more than sensationalised gossiping

Did they? Or did the Guardian go fishing around after the event? I can't see where the Guardian would look any more fondly on Hunt than Johnson. They are both a very poor choice to lead the country. Point remains though, if the row didn't happen there's nowt to record.

Johnson is just a **** head.
Them minders and advisors of his that made sure he was kept out of the public eye for fear of him opening his big gob and making a gaff slipped up here they should have kept him away from his girlfriend.

Trouble is UTC, I don't think Hunt's a lot better. He does at least seem to have less baggage - unless you work in the NHS.

Thanks AR. I had an exclamation mark that was nearing its use by date, so
I got rid of it. My old English teacher would turn in his grave.

So because BoJo wouldn't do the Sky debate, Hunt has decided to spend the evening replying to tweeted questions......

    https://twitter.com/Jeremy_Hunt/with_replies

I have to say he's done pretty good. Plenty of trolling in his direction and he's answered stuff said to him in a way that I wouldn't have expected for him to respond to them. Not sure about supporting two Football teams though.......

Following Johnson's statement tonight re- leaving the EU without a deal if EU negotiators refuse to renegotiate
and as PM, he can't get his deal through Parliament, he will have no choice but to call a General
Election. Unless Farages Brexit Party have faded by then, it will be very interesting to see how it will all pan out.

Coz they can’t trust the others giving it exposure. Ed Miliband was vilified and mocked, amongst other things, for the way he ate a sandwich. That got more exposure from the Tory press than anything. Corbyn sneezes and it’s front page news for the press.

I may be wrong on this and am sure someone will correct me if I am but I do not see how parliament can block a no deal whether or not a resolution was passed. The default position is on the given date if we have no deal we leave...no ifs and buts. Only the EU can agree to yet another extension(unlikely) A GE does not resolve anything. Nor, as I understand it can parliament revoke A50 .An act of parliament would need to be passed in order to do so which only the Govt can put forward. In any case by the time that was done we would have left. It is a total mess but talk of a GE seems somewhat irrelevant in the context of deal,no deal or remain

I'm totally over this brexit nonsense, I've wasted too much time and energy thinking about it.

It's going to happen as labour doesn't have the balls to commit to a 2nd ref, Tories will 100% fukc it up and we are absolutely spinning into a mess which will hamstring the country for decades. No one and no party can save us now.

But, I have no control over it, the world still spins and football kicks off again in August.

Its a tricky one - Parliament can force a general election - the opposition can bring forwards a vote of no confidence which if won would force a General Election. I think there is little doubt the EU would agree another extension if a GE was taking place but someone has to ask for it - I dont know who that would be in that case - if it is down to the existing PM and its Boris thats not going to happen

Spotted several Brexiteers like Rabb are now already blaming the EU if they force us into a no deal - expect a concerted campaign over the coming weeks to make sure that whatever happens they down own the issue and when we crash out without one and it will be either the fault of the EU or the remoaners

I think its part of a campaign (along with the insults and blame towards the EU) to harden attitudes so we don't just rejoin in the next few years.

Having said that the EU is not currently presenting itself in a very good light in it's attempts to bully Switzerland...certainly not coming across as a friendly neighbour.

The daft thing is this is another Tory mess made for no reason other than political brinkmanship.

When it became clear we needed (another) extension, the EU publicly offered us a year to sort it out, so May told us they didn’t need that and met them in Brussels to agree 6 months.

You really couldn’t make up this total shambles. Every single decision driven by Tory infighting, and none of them made for the good of the country or even with any consideration of the consequences beyond what it means for the party.
