Trying to work out the implied motives behind it. So trying to see our viewpoint on it as a club.

"We feel that the matchday prices at (insert club) are too high and you are over charging your own fans and subsequently our travelling support too.
So to counter this we will seek revenge by setting our prices to a level we have already said we feel is too high and over charge your fans and subsequently our own too"

If Sheff wed charged us less would we really charge them less? Because if the answer is yes, shouldn't we just charge what we feel is acceptable anyway?

Do we charge them more for that reason, or because irrespective of the price, they’ll probably bring 4,000+, same goes for Leeds and, to some extent, Huddersfield.

There's no justification for it whatsoever. It's the policy of two wrongs making a right.
    They don't.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Why not reciprocate higher admission prices, put the difference between the normal gate price and the higher one into a ‘war chest’ and use it to subside future away tickets at these rip off grounds?
And I do understand that the administration of this would be difficult, but it would make a statement.

Some years ago I thought BFC had a policy whereby the CEO would ask all the other clubs in our league what they would charge visiting Reds fans. BFC would then charge away fans the same at Oakwell. Seemed sensible to me as we could always offer more away tickets than other clubs.

good point and it would be great if we are not away first, but for me we should set a price for all games that would give us (the club) a fair chance to compete in this league and still be affordable around £25/26 per game is acceptable

There should be a way of issuing something like a £10 voucher off any home league game to our supporters. Do it by way of competition or meeting a certain criteria? That way we can still charge away supporters the full whack and our supporters use their voucher for the expensive game. By specifying "any game" it doesn’t look bent.

It needs doing before the season starts then it doesn’t appear to target any specific game.
