I wouldn’t grumble at that fee, if we use it to bring in a replacement.

I read on Sky sports that Lee Johnson has said that they are well down the road of signing a striker this week

Fair enough if true, provided we have already got a replacement signed up. If not, it’s madness.

He's got 2.5 years left on his contract: we're getting violated if we sell him for £3million.

I understand - but don't like - selling players for what we can get when they've only a year remaining. When they've a long while to run, we should be either making other clubs bleed, or keeping hold of the player.

    You WOULDNT grumble?

I definitely would. 3 million for a player who has years left on his contract and offers a completely different dynamic upfront for us which is also a rare commodity in this league. Also leaves us dangerously bare upfront with just 4 days before the start of the season.

For me it needs to be a crazy fee for us to even consider it.

A crazy fee and an immediate replacement wirh championship experience.

Some Bristol fans are saying that the Club are looking at signing either Vydra or possibly Jordan Rhodes or both.

From what I can see on their fans forum, there's no mention of Moore joining them.

I believe it would be almost foolish to, A, sell him in this window, and at such short notice, and B, to accept less than 5 million. As has already been posted Moore offers something different to what we currently have with our other strikers. Really hope we keep him.

Would still not fill the void left by Moore’s departure

not unless he's got rid of that stupid haircut! as others have said, at this particular time if we sell KM for 3 million we might as well give up.

I doubt we’ll see 4-4-2 as often this season - our midfield will be majorly exposed if so. I think we’re more likely to see us play one up top with players like Bahre, Wilks and Thiam supporting the striker.

Granted, he does offer something with his height, and he was brilliant last season, so I’ll be sad to see him go. That said, he misses a lot of chances, and chances might be much harder to come by this coming season. I’d rather see us re-invest in a striker that suits Stendel’s style of play better.

    What happened to this guy?

I don't mind losing Kieffer so long as we get a replacement, but 3 million for our top goalscorer? To be honest I feel like we've already been ripped off with Pinnock, Linsday and Davies so why not.

Bristol reportedly getting £20 million plus add ons for a CB. I'd want a seriously big chunk of that to let Moore go so close to the start of the season. He has over 2 years left on his contract so this would be a move at odds with the alleged master plan and would require an explanation from the club re the reason for the deviation.
